Good luck and thank you for taking on this forum. For many years I have used it to keep up to date on pedigree racing news and for general dog/whippet related questions. I am so pleased that I will be able to continue to do so :thumbsup:
 
Sorry to everyone that the site was closed for this afternoon and evening. I had hoped that the software provider would do the upgrade, but it seems they can take up to 5 days. The situation is absurd because I can't keep the forum closed for that long, but equally they want me to have a back-up. Anyway... long story short, we're open and waiting...!

Wowzers, so this is the new software.

In the interests of getting the forum re-opened asap, I've not had time to customise it yet and some key areas are missing, like the gallery.

Watch this space for more info and let me know of any major 'bugs' :)
 
Good luck, I was one of the first members of K9 and in the old days it was a great place to be, we used to have some great nights in the chat room holding quiz's and just general banter. Maybe you could convince wildwhippies to hold a quiz again in a chat room (if of course you decide to put that back on the forum)

I can only reiterate Dawn's comments, the chat room was THE place to be. I was a much later addition to the forum because I am SO much younger than Dawn, but we used to while away many an evening !! Perhaps Dawn, if you have the nun outfit still, you could rekindle your following ?

Good luck with the forum,used to be a favourite of mine being interested in all things running dog (any variety or cross) orientated.
 
Not too keen on the new colours & look. I am finding the site much less pleasant to use

OMG you remember the theme nights we used to have LOL have u changed your username?? Those were the days and everyone was light hearted and friendly, hope it can be that way again.

Please please please can we have a chat room again?????

Thanks for the feedback, the colours you see now are very much a 'work in progress' - the main challenge at present is sorting out the name change.

What colours would you prefer?

Same here....not keen on the white background...but I may get used to it I suppose :>
 
I hope under this new management a tighter rein will be kept on those people who post under more than one name and cause mischief and upset, This has happened in the past, but hopefully it will not be allowed to happen in the future.

I like the new layout, so good luck for the future

Don't mind the colours but would prefer something less pale! But it's looking good and it's lovely to see some old names popping up. Proves we were all lurking out there somewhere even if we didn't post much :-
 
Just to clarify the design changed again today :)
