Sad news that Little Teardrop (Fern) had to be put to sleep this morning. She has been battling problems with her Kidneys for a while now and finally there was no more they could do to help her at the vets. Run free at the rainbow bridge Ferni girl, love you baby xx

So sad to hear about little Fern. R.I.P. little girl, my thoughts are with you Kath

I was so grateful that you let me know about Fern, this morning, Kath. For those of you that don't know, Fern was litter sister to Biddy and had speed to burn. Unfortunately, when she was about 2 years old, she put her back out badly which caused her a great deal of discomfort, when running. She started to have accupuncture and was able to run again, but after 2 or 3 runs, she would be back to square one again. When I was forced to cease running her I decided to re-home her as she was still a young dog and was bemused as to why I wasn't taking her with me when racing. Kath asked me if I would let her dear friend adopt her, which I agreed. To say she was loved dosen't cover it. They doted on her and she could not have had a better life, which was evident when I saw her every now and then. I've shed a few tears today, but I know she's been loved and she will be missed. Sleep well Ferny Girl and run free with your mum.

oooooooooo Kath - you made the right decision. Fern is no longer in pain rip little girl .

It is the hardest thing any dog owners has to do when their much loved pet

is suffering - the time is never right for us to let go.

Thinking of you and Jena
