the same can be said about north to south  midnight run .adam's mystery etc, it's people's choice ;)

You couldn't even say he's not thrown well because he's already thrown champions to 3 bitches all totally differently bred.

Same old story though, people have short memories and if it's not being waved under their nose all the time they soon get forgotten.

I give massive credit to anyone willing to try "something different".

Another one to add to John's list for me would be Another Spot, i think it's criminal this dog wasn't used more.

It has always been the same with stud dogs.

With a popular trend of the same one's being well used....and why not when it works!!!

The more bitches a stud dog covers, it stands to reason that his offspring will eventually produce something special, but when it happens straight away from the on set, then you can't blame racers wanting 'some of that'.

But then that will leave the dilemma of a glut of whippets with the same bloodline, eventually they will have to try something else.

There are lots of excellent unused stud dogs, it is a crying shame that they haven't been used... Gold Run winner of the Scottish Derby twice (or is it three time) beating top class bitches in the process, Ch of Ch's three times also Rch, proving his speed and stamina on grass and sand, winner of umpteeen classics and the Top Ten.....he is of course bred from K Sera brood to many champions and supremes to Ann & Ago's Our Jack brother to the notorious Swift Holly (One of the best bitches I have seen) carrying the fantastic 'Swift Line'...

Think your totally right Andrew. He's a cracking dog,and was fortunate to watch some of his racing career.Think what seems to happen all the time is,dogs such as your own throw some fantastic pups, and then folk jump on the band wagon, and want to use them again and again.Cant blame folk for wanting to use the proven stud dogs, and this is no way taking anything from yours that have proven themselves time and time again, but if a dog gets more than it's quota of bitches, then chances are your gonna get more quality pups on the circuit.Law of averages and all that.Dont think for one min people on the whole think about narrowing the gene pool. What most bitch owners seem to think about is,is how good a dogs racing career is and has he thrown some good pups. Not for one min, saying there's not other reasons people choose certain stud dogs, breeding, size, own lines, etc just think that majority want to take what they already know to be good, and give what they feel is the best chance to their bitch to have quality pups.Just my opinion (says the woman who doesn't breed, and just buys a pup lol)
