:ermm: what's the matter with the topic about changes to the Forum? In the index of subjects it shows who started the topic and when, but, it shows "no Replies"! I went onto the item, to see what it was about and found three pages of answers to the question being posed! So, not only do "they" want to split our forum into smaller, precise subjects but, apparently even the way we post answers has changed! I'm too long in the tooth to cope with change for changes sake when I cannot see the point of it all! Another Thing! Why have we got Sub-forums at the head of our section, when if anyone wanted to view information on any Non-Ped Club, they only had to click on the section in the bottom right hand box! Why clutter the main forum with them, when very few clubs have enough information to put on especially at this time of the year! Strikes me that you are over thinking the whole issue and will end up alienating the very people you want to attract and hopefully keep participating in the forum issues raised. Only by doing so, will you keep to the original concept of sharing and exchanging information about the breed we love! Just my opinion, for what it's worth! (w00t) :>

Hello Deeva,

The thread was closed because the issue was resolved, we asked if the members minded a merge and no one wanted it, so we didn't do it.

We are grateful to everyone who gave us valuable feedback.

The forums that were being discussed have been moved into a section called 'K9 Community'.

They are as they were and have just all been put towards the bottom of the board in their own section as described above.

I hope this answers your questions, if I missed anything, please give me another nudge, if I can't answer, I will chase Geoff!! Hehe

Anna

can i ask where the non-ped data base has gone, as folks like to find out their own dogs family tree, i for one dont like the change one bit, why fix something that isn't broke

Took me a long time to get back onto k9 and I wish I had not bothered. What with a new name, clubs at the top of non peds section I dont like that. I really would like it back to how it used to be, If it's not broken it dont need fixed. Myself and John joined the forum at the start of k9 and we have seen the changes over the years, adding, italian greyhounds, lurchers no name 2, Im finding it hard to find out what I have missed over the last few months and I hate the changes. Think i will just use the new facebook forum. I have gave up now

Oh and what happened to what out number was when we joined, I know mine was 100 and something and Joined think Nov, John joined before me, his number was under 100. Im glad I still have Robbie as my profile photo, Ive no idea if all my photos of my dogs are still on this forum as cant be arsed to try and find them

Hi Susan

To find your user number, you just need to click on your name and you can see it in your address, like 262-susan, which means you were 262 :)

I appreciate you're not keen on the changes, but one of the reasons Nigel decided to hand the site on to me was because the popularity of the old one was declining. We had several areas where then hadn't been a post in over a year and some of the racing clubs hadn't used their sections in 5 years (last post 2007!).

I hope you give it a chance (all the old users and posts from the last 10 years are still here!) but if you decide not then I thank you for the feedback anyway.
