A school has banned triangular flapjacks on health and safety grounds after a pupil was hit in the eye by one during a lunch-time food fight.

Dinner ladies at the comprehensive school were told to cut flapjacks into squares or rectangles only from now on after the Year 7 boy was sent home complaining of a sore eye.

This morning a spokesman for Essex County Council confirmed the ban on triangular treats at Castle View School on Canvey Island was true.

LMAO ! (w00t) Seriously, I was more worried in school when the teacher chucked the wooden board rubber across the room or walked behind your chair you'd hold your breath waiitng for the bible or back of their hand to bounce off the back of your head! As for school lunches they were barely edible uggghhhh! You were in danger of breaking your teeth on the pastry. Where has common sense gone!!

it has got stupid, and why cus peeps so quick to earn a buck or two in compo, this world has gone potty.

The corners on squares aren't so pointy though- apparently.

Why don't they just tell them not to throw the food, or is that not pc in this day and age.
