I am very confused....

John Hurt is the new Doctor? So how did that happen?

As I understand it John Hurt is going to be the Dr before Christopher Ecclestone and he was a bit of a baddie, although I'm never 100% sure I know what is happening at the best of times with Dr Who.

I suspect that Sir John may be in for a one off adventure. I doubt if the change will be for an entire series. Looking forward to it anyway.

This is a bit confusing, at the end of the series of Dr Who it was sort of implied that John Hurt would be the new Doctor.

Mat smith has definitely left the show but still not too sure if John is the new one or not ????

It's definitely complicated, but I doubt John Hurt is the new going forward Dr, just a bit of a blast from the past. I haven't got a clue really, but they are certainly keeping us guessing.
