Very quiet here recently the topics are crap at times ages for replys, whats happening..

Sad to say I agree  I think the site suffered when it was reorganised and lots of racing people left. I much preferred the old K9... I go on TWF sometimes but still keep coming back here for a look now and then

Hehehe thanx i knew it be someting easy to work out lol but immmmmm thick hehe.

I'm quite new on this forum .. and did indeed notice it being very quiet here.

Did this forum focus on racing only in the past? ..

Who owns this forum now and are they able to share what the future plan is of this forum?

Hi Miss Yeh :) This was originally a forum for whippets/ lurchers and sighthounds- it was once VERY busy and has changed lots since I joined in 2009. I've no idea what the developer has planned for the site. I would love to see it up and running again

I'd say.. let us try and find out :)

Despite it being on the inactive site, I do enjoy it the forum.

Is/are the owners active on this forum?

oh.. I see he's still active-ish.

Mr BigPaws.. we need to have a word with you!

We mainly go on the pedigree whippet racing site and that has gone very quiet, but i think most of the racers use the dreaded facebook now, to air their views.

This used to be an amazing forum, very active, 100's if not 1000's of posts a day...

...I met many new friends through K9...

...but then trollers hit and alienated the core people...

now it is just a dog forum rather than a racing whippet forum it is just diluted and no one really belongs any more

At times to make a site bigger and better you got to get more in but at times the opposite happens.. Its seems a wee bit better last week oe so.

It would be great to see this forum a bit more active, maybe open it up to more than just whippet owners is a good idea (I have a rescue Staffy cross myself)

When I joined this forum I was finding it quite hard to find a rescue specific forum to join. Maybe a section here for rescue owners would draw more members in.

I was actually surprised to read this was a whippet focused forum, as this forum is named: dogforum :)

But it did start as k9 community when i first started back in 2006. So.

It was a great site everyone very friendly but then it started with back stabbing etc and most people left, what a shame.

backstabbing sadly now part of LIFE but i still read most posts why not? anyway in the main ive picked up some good stuff.

This was started as K9 Community in 2001 - a lively thriving forum focusing on whippets and sighthounds. Around 2010 the then owners weren't able to give it the amount of time it needed and frustration with many members wanting a free-for-all to flame anyone they wanted caused many to leave (those members included). It limped along (mostly with the pedigree and non-pedigree racing community) for a while with a couple of mods who tried to keep things going. In 2012 it was sold to the current owner who decided to try to turn it into an all breed forum and changed the name to DogForum.
