Ear infections and sore paws.

Can anyone help with some advice, my beagle has always had waxy ears due to the lack of air to them, it is normally fixed by wipes cleaning them and ear drops but tonight the irritation is really bad and he won't settle. Also he has been licking and chewing his paws and in between the pads and has a red lump like a blister in there, it can be popped but it never goes. Any advice is greatly welcome.
 
Sudocrem creme will ease the sore paws but ear infections aint nice so it may need a vet if bad.
 
Sounds like an ear infection- needs antibiotics and seeing by a vet as it can be very painful and the eardrum can perforate if it is left untreated. What do you feed your dog? A grain- free or preferably raw diet might help
 
He has tinned food with biscuit mixers in the morning and raw chicken at night, he is really fussy with his food it took us a while to find a diet he is happy with. We have bathed his paws in salt water and put sudocreme on them and cleaned his ears and put drops in, it seems to be better but it looks like we'll need the vet tomorrow.
 
Yeast infections in ears can be caused from cereals in food. If changing his diet doesnt help, I'd ask my vet to do a swab test from inside the ear.

Sounds like you may well need some advice from the vet here. A grain free diet may help him overcome his issues. best of luck with the vet.
 
had one with yeast in the ears , the only thing that ever helped were the ear drops with steroids like otomax and canaural, you can only get these with prescription.i found cleaning twice a day with an ear cleaning solution lessened it but it never completely cleared.thornit powder also may be a good idea, depending on severity.

How are your dog's ears and paws now? I read your thread because we have recently acquired a pup of 10 months (3 days ago) . When I took him to the vets, she said that she was a bit concerned about his ears and feet being pink and that it could be due to an allergy of sorts. She was reluctant to make a note of this on his record as at that time he was not yet insured. He is now, but will not be covered for 2 weeks more. I am interested to know if the Sudocrem worked as last night he would not stop licking and gnawing at his feet. Naturally I would like to ease his suffering asap but am reluctant to incur a huge vet bill!
