looking for information on the dog never say never.

does anybody have a link to his pedigree?

There is a bitch with this name on The Whippet Archives and quite a few with similar names, may be worth a look.

Never say Never was out of my bitch two faced x bound too and is owned by me his full pedigree can be found on the bwra database. May I ask reason for interest ?

im looking at starting whippet racing and know of a litter by never say never, just wanted bit more info about the dog before i make my decision

Did the pedigree work?? Could u get onto it?? Never say Never has sired some beautiful looking pups, my mum (his owner) has also got a pup out of him and trialling very well. If u want to know anything about him, ask away x

Which bitch are u thinking of having one from??

pedigree worked fine thanks, he has covered a pure bred greyhound pups should be due this week. I have also learnt of a litter by kentucky doing bit of research on both litters before i make my decision.

New to whippet racing dont really know alot about the bloodlines had greyhounds in the past.

When im looking at the pedigrees

Rch = race champion

anything with B = bends

Nch = national ?

how does a dog become a NCH, RCH, or a SUP ?

Is supreme champion the best?

Rch are run for at the BWRA (British Whippet Racing Association) championship events and dogs run off in 2lb (16lb - 32lb) weight classes off level breaks the winners gaining this title.

Nch titles are NNWRF (Nationa Whippet Racing Federation) championships again run in 2lb weight classes but this time u/17lb, 19lb etc 2lb classes up to 35lb but the dogs have a yd start if they are the lightest in class.

Both these events are classed as the accolades of whippet racing and most people aim for a rch or nch title, these events are usually the best attended events in whippet racing all the best dogs coming together to compete for a title.

The SUPREME title is then a run off between all the dogs that have gained their rch/nch status on the day, run in classes to an overall final - the winner is then SUPREME champion.

Yes B equals Bends

Hope this makes sense and answers your questions. Best of luck in finding your racing whippet for the future.

thanks Karen, can you compete in both BWRA and NWRF or do you have to pick one or the other? Which is the most popular or trhe better class of dog.

You can run in both organisations, you have to register your dog with the organisation and pay an annual membership fee. Both are equally popular and the same dogs run in both.

Will the pup be registered by the breeder? or do i have to do it?

As regards schooling the pups will most clubs help me out?

I think my nearest clubs are Notts, shirebrook, stockton or maltby im pretty much in the middle of all of them

The breeder registers the litter being born but you register once ready to race but local club will help with registration.

Most clubs are very helpful with training pups and are welcoming to new comers, my mum (Karen) and our family run Shirebrook and would be very willing to help u out as would most clubs, just pop along to one u fancy and ull be welcomed in.

Kim

ok thanks i'll get the pup sorted then come along, what days do you race?
