I do love bend racing, I know it's a dying part of whippet racing but it is such an exciting spectacle, with people cheering theirs and other dogs home. As our main trapper it's great to be able to see the whole race. It also gives dogs who don't win on a straight a chance to show that they really can run a bend and have a chance of winning.

Well done to all those who worked so hard to get the track up and put it away it was in super condition. Well done to all the winners and finalists, and we thought the trophies were some of the best we've seen. Thank you again for a great days racing and i really hope you keep bend racing going for as long as you can  .

Yes. Well done WCRA great bend racing.

We also love our bend racing so a big thank you to the WCRA for putting on such a great day for all our bend racers. It was an extra special day for us as Zula won her half coat. We are over the moon, probably shell shocked, she has always been so close but always pipped at the post. Thank you everyone for all the support and kind words given to us on Zula's win. Well done to all the runners yesterday winners or not it was just so nice to watch these lovely whippets run the bend on such a lovely day.

I would like to thank Dave Brown for marking out yesterdays bend and all the people that helped to put up the bend on Saturday nite, without them it wouldn't have been possible.

A special thanks to Kieran on his quad,Ray Jones for doing the lure, to everyone who done a job on the day and for everyone who helped take the track down at the end. I hope everybody enjoyed their day. The WCRA committee work hard to put on these championship meetings for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks again

Ray Pond (WCRA Race Manager)

It was a lovely weekend altogether, starting with the barbeque Saturday night to a great days bend racing, many thanks to all concerned. I know the committee appreciate all the help with putting up the track and the take down. So many helpers made the day so much easier and made all the time and effort feel so worthwhile.

On a personal note I would like to thank everyone that has helped me over the last 18 months with Jett Black from Breeder to stud dog owner and to all the people that helped train and trap him.

Winning a championship is so special. I've been lucky, and won champs before, but its as special as the first time and can still be very emotional.

I like to thank everyone that congratulated me and for all the warm support my little man got during his races.

Its wonderful having everyone behind us-Bless you all x :huggles:

Thank you to the WCRA for the Bend Spectacle and to all the whippets that ran.

A very enjoyable day even though I had nothing to run. WELL DONE Garry on Jett Black's win and also WELL DONE to the consistent Zula it was thrilling to see her win her group.

Great day. Hard work sat night ,think we layed tools down at 10.30pm and back on the job at 7ish sun. Think Ray deserves a big thankyou for a day that went so smooth.Well done .

Not everyone was awake at 7am :-

Look the footy was on until 1am and someone had to watch it!

But echoing what others have already said - what a great weekend - and a big well done to all concerned

I think every dog put more into there day, than the hole of the england team did in there match. Great racing, dogs having to think about what they are doing and working hard bends is best racing you can get realy great .

Because there are an odd number of pictures, the website's software insisted on starting the full results in the space where another picture would have gone, leaving it looking a bit lop-sided.

I'm not fully aux fait with this site yet, and this was my first attempt at publishing it. The navigation from the home page is still rubbish but as long as we can post a link here and on FB everything is kushti :D

You can call me Kim anytime big boy

(joking - it IS Kim's write up - I just crow-barred it into place!)
