I was reading an article about a guide dog that pushed his human out of the way of an oncoming car and got run over himself. Luckily the dog has recovered and both are fine.

It got me wondering if there are any heroic tales here in the forum?

I wasn’t feeling well so was laying on the sofa having a nap. Misty bought over one of her most dirty, smelly, crusty, ripped apart toys and pushed it under my pillow to make me feel better. Not quite the same as the other heroic stories, but she is a hero in my eyes

They just know don’t they!

Hope you’re feeling better :)

I love the crusty toys - crustier the better I say! Ha

So brave. What protectors.

I have only just seen this discussion so please forgive my late reply. We consider our little jack/dax a hero.
My father used to have a lot of falls and I would not always hear if I was asleep. So in the middle of one night, Gizmo kept leaping on me, scratching at me and generally being a pain. I told him nite nite but he would not leave me alone. Then I heard my dad calling, he had fallen again and we realized Gizmo had heard him calling for me and was waking me. My dad has since passed but we will never forget Gizmo's actions and we still love him and he still has tons of cuddles!

Gizmo is definitely a hero ;)

Thanks @Sezzy, that's good to know, I did think it was a bit heartless when I read somewhere that his bosses wouldn't allow him to keep this wonderful dog. I'm glad they relented.
