Hi all,

This is our dog Hazel. She's a cocker spaniel cross jack Russel and is just coming up to 12months.

You can follow our walks here: Find & Seek - Dog Adventures

Shes lovely and can I just say I love the fact youve called her a cross naming the two breeds and not said a jackarocker or a cockarussel or some other totally mad name..

We use a similar website for walks here in NL they also organise doggy dates either group walks or for people just looking for a friend with dog to walk with

She was sold as a cockerjack but let's face it she's a moungrel but I don't think there should be anything wrong with that. Yes you get more unpredictability in how she will grow up, but I've found it fascinating to see the different parts of her personality appear.

:pAw-w she's lovely. I'm a massive cocker spaniel fan and we have a history of JRT's in our extended family so very familiar with both breeds. I actually like cockerjack! It's just a creative use of language (which is my profession). I love all the made-up names and she's not a mongrel- she's a first cross so you know a bit more about what you're getting. Looks like you've got a beauty.

Here's a thought: not only will she flush rats she'll bring 'em back and deliver them to hand. Happy days...

Actually she has shown this sort of behaviour, she also seems to have a very soft mouth. A baby bird fell out of the nest into our garden about a week back and she brought it in and dropped it at our feet with not a mark on it :O

I do like JRT crosses - the JRT genes seems to give them an extra dose of personality!

That's one way of putting it :D She is often called a character!

Cheeky but not a nasty bone in her body
