Two years ago today we said goodbye to our boy Benny, he didnt have a great start in life..he wasnt loved by his first owners but he had 14 happy years with us and reached the grand age of 15 years and 3 weeks. Benny had his own way of doing everything and he loved life right to the last. Old age and blindness didnt stop him he just carried on and enjoyed every minute.

So really there was only one song that we could use for his memorial .

In loving memory of a determined, stubborn slightly old sock smelling, dishwasher robbing beagle who filled our lives with love and joy... I give you ..Benny xxxx

That was lovely :) what a happy boy Benny was, they play such a big part off our life's and should never be forgotten x that brought a tear to my eye as i know how it feels .
Never forgotten Benny xx

That’s a lovely tribute and made me cry. Thinking of you x

Thankyou all so much.. I just find it so awful the way dogs vanish. They have no proper send off, no memorial, no way for us to express our feelings of loss and of how much they meant to us and how big a role they have played in our lives.
Thats why I have made one of these slide shows for each of my boys, in that way I can share the memories and find that song that fits their personality. Giving them the lasting memorial I feel they deserve.

Its always so nice too see people that love their dogs so much xx
There is actually a memorial thats open near me, and they take the dog and give it a proper send off with a funeral, you can also either bury or have it cremated . And theres a bereavement counselling there too , its something I'd consider with mine proper send off x

I just feel that dogs are too easily forgotten , less than 5 hours after Benny died one of my neighbours told my husband where he could get a pup ..as if we were replacing a pair of shoes or a lost keyring!

Thats a beautiful urn x both my dogs were cremated too and we also have the ashes in urns in my living room as my son who has special needs wanted them close.

What a lovely tribute @Mad Murphy and how lucky he was to of found you.

It really sucks that they can’t be with us longer
