interesting behavior: 3 new cows & a young bull, introduced to a small established herd

these are all Highland cattle; the new cows are all in calf, & the herd owner is retiring his current bull [who is sequestered, B4 the tractor-trailer arrives with the new animals].


the established herd is very calm when the massive truck pulls up, pulls forward, backs into the portable paddock, & the tailgate is lowered as a ramp; then folded aluminum fence-panels are erected on the ramp, & they're still quite calm. Lots of noise, hydraulics, rattles, bangs, squeals... no reaction.
THE FACE & SILHOUETTE of another Highland cow are seen at the back of the trailer, above the ramp... & then, they herd runs away! :confused: Very strange.

A few minutes later, worried that their curiosity will send his current cows thru the portable electric fence, he opens the portable paddock, & puts the new cows & their bull, in with his herd - way-too soon, I think. :--* Everybody takes off!
