I feed Dudley Canagan dry food. It is packaged in the UK and supposedly free range.
I do like to add a spoonful of wet food. Have been using Applawse but have now discovered the meat is sourced and the food tinned in Thailland. Lilys kitchen is Spain.
I really do not want to use a meat which may be from animals which have not been treated humanely.
Has anyone got any suggestions.
I did buy a couple of small cans of Charlie Little because it said it was made in the UK, but did not say where the meat was from.

Have a look at Barking Heads. They claim that they use UK-sourced ingredients. However, they don't say that they ONLY use UK-sourced ingredients so it would be worth getting in touch with them to ask them directly.

What about cooking batches of minced meat that you know about, and freezing in portion sizes to defrost and add?

Also, look at Pooch & Mutt - they claim to use 'locally sourced ingredients'.

Thank you everyone. For the last week I had been adding chicken to his kibble. But I am worried he is not getting all the goodness he needs. I will look at Pooch and Mutt and the mince meat is definitely a good idea as we have an extremely good local butcher

I looked at the Canagan tins but they are only large tins and would be too much for Dudley in one day. I have emailed Canagan about their kibble and they assure me it is all sourced in the Uk

Could you freeze it in portion sizes for him?

I will probably freeze some for him. Also cooked some chicken and minced beef portions for him today. A friend who I had not seen for a couple of weeks said today that she thought he had lost weight. Being panicky and paranoid I called in the vets and weighed him. Still the same weight.
Never worried this much over my children!!!
