Dillon has just been diagnosed with Chronic Bronchitis, he'll will be on tablets for the rest of his life.

Has anyone elses dog suffered with it and how did they cope with it.

I’m sorry to hear this @Dinky Dillon :-(

I hope the tablets help him x

Thank you.... I think the meds. have kicked, in he seems a little better today he's been playing and his taken some of his toys are out in the garden. but he over done it a bit and has been panting heavily but now he is now sound a sleep on our bed. it's so hard to stop him running around when he wants to.

Update on Dillon

We took him to the vets on Tuesday, he was pleased with him, but said he wanted try him on another tablet to see which suited the best. So far he seems OK, eating is better and his sleeping much better at a night. Still can't walk to far without getting breathless so walks have been shortened. On the whole we are pleased with how his doing so looks like we might be keeping him on the new tablets.

Dillon has been on his new tablets nearly weeks and his panting is a less, unless he his a mad few minutes then it takes him time to get his breath back, he is more active, is sleeping better at night and eating much better, so hopefully when we see the vet on Tuesday he'll keep him on these and we'll take each day as it comes.

Do write down any questions you have for your vet. They go into Veterinary Medicine because they love animals - this does not mean that they are very good with people :)

Off to the vets at 11 o'clock this morning, we are hoping the vet finds an improvement in him.

Happy, Happy, the vet was pleased with Dillon, he checked his lungs and said they sounded much better and his breathing much easier, although he was panting after his walk there, he has reduced his tablets to one a day but we can increase back to two if we need to, we don't have to go back for 3 months unless we are worried about him, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.
