Wetherspoons have banned dogs from all their pubs, including the gardens. Apparently because some children are afraid of dogs and they want to encourage young families coming for lunch.
As my dog is generally much better behaved than most children I find this absolutely ridiculous.
I totally agree, I have always said I would rather a dog at the next table than screaming snooty nosed kids who have no manners and their "don't give a s**t" parents who just let them run riot. It's about time pubs ect starting banning unruly kids not dogs. It doesn't affect me as there are no Weatherspoons near me as I live in a village and it is all country pubs and very dog friendly where ever you go...several pubs even have the sign "Dogs always welcome, humans tolerated" and they mean it lol

You cant blame some pubs for banning dogs ...irresponsible dog owners spoil it for others by not picking up dog mess and not keeping their dogs under control. ..not all people are dog lovers and some people are scared of dogs ...
I used to think that when I lived in London but here in a village everyone loves dogs so the local country pubs welcome dogs with open arms...but then we are responsible dog owners
