Does anyone else feel that the new licence laws wont work for small independant dog boarders ?

Hi, I've only just found out about these new regulations and have been reading through them today, phew!!
I home board on a one to one basis, unless obviously it's a pair of dogs from the same family. All my boarders come in and are part of the family living in a 'normal' home environment. I don't know quite what to think or do about this new licencing at the moment, first I suppose I will phone my pet business insurance and see if they have any advice? I can understand a need for regulations especially if you do multi dog boarding in your home, a lot of what is asked on the licence should be in place and should be common sense, some things may not be totally relevant to one business but relevant to another..maybe a lot depends on who comes out to check you prior to getting a licence and whether they take into account your type of boarding business or if they will go by the letter of the law? Most of what they are asking I have in place already but if some things they deem not up their standard or I do things different to them, can they refuse me a licence?? Most of my dogs have been coming to stay regularly for the last 5years, this is like their 2nd home, I already have bookings up to December next year, there is a fine for boarding without a licence, so I don't think we have a choice other than apply and see what happens? Has anybody done this yet?

We have had these licensing laws in our area for a long time ....

I haven't applied for the licence yet and really worried about the new rules etc

The cost has gone up and now they want a personal house to jump through hoops
