My dogs love a chilled carrot. I was told this was also good at cleaning their teeth. Although it doesn’t remove plaque it does take any food that’s stick to their teeth.
I do give the odd dentastick but my dogs don’t seem too enthusiastic about them.

Even though I have only had my pup 1 month, I find them a ridiculous waste of money. I raw feed Jackson and have done for approx 2 weeks - teeth already look white and coat is as soft as silk. I will most likely start brushing his teeth but the time he is 1 - I fed him his first raw marrow bone today which is said to help with flossing etc... but yes... I won't be getting D stix anymore.

Try some raw chicken wings or carcases, they are excellent for teeth cleaning and quite safe. They also have a good food value too.
I started my Cocker puppies on the above wings and carcases at 4-5 weeks of age.
