Hi I’m new to the group. Sadly I haven’t got a dog anymore but I’d love to rescue one! Even more sadly I can’t get a dog right now due to working circumstances

Does anyone else check out rescue websites to see which dogs need a home? I love seeing all the different dogs but hate it at the same time knowing I can’t get one yet!!

Welcome! I don't tend to check local rescues as such, but I see a lot of dogs looking for a home on Facebook and dog forums linked to rescues. And yes, I'm often drawn to a particular dog and think 'If only....'

There’s a dogs trust near me, so that only makes it more tempting!
I don’t understand it when people go to rescue centres just to look or play with the dogs though... I’d feel like I was just using them or even teasing them :(

Oh I agree, they shouldn't be used as zoos. But how about going to the rescue centres as a volunteer to help walk them and whatever other jobs there are? Even if you can't take them home with you, you'll be helping to enrich their lives till they can find a forever home.

I'm Always looking even though i have a dog and know i couldn't have another at the moment haha
