Time your dog and submit it then! The top Greyhounds are 5 and 6 years old. I've heard many bigub stories from the U.K. about their hounds well does anyone have a dog that can match this list best?

You can submit with proof to them

Why are they nearly all Australian what do they have that other countries don"t ???

More of them may simply know about the site. A great number of their dogs run 55 miles per hour that are nit on the list. The list consist of people time and submitting their dogs' performance. These are not random record colllections. Everyday people do this.

50 miles an hour is slow for USA Greyhounds. They average 55 mph but many hit 60 mph. Australian Greyhounds do 55 mph along with Asian Indian Greyhounds.

This site prefers/request PR00F to be ranked. But those without proof are bottom listed. I saw so many erroneous claims about the owners' dogs up on the U.K. Dog Forum years ago that I
listed this site for the boasters on here to see if their dogs can top it or competently be placed.

It does not state what is meant by speed, is it average speed over a distance, in which case how far. Or is it instantaneous speed? Obviously they will not be the same.

Reading further down, it was top speed at any point, so the dog needs to wear a GPS tracker - average speed between two points isn't what they're after. I have doubts about the accuracy of GPS trackers for an 'instantaneous' reading though.

Well the only true sprinters in the animal kingdom are the Whippet and Cheetah whom BOTH perform best up to 200 yards then decline in speed afterwards. That means you either use a smart collar or buy a $100 radar gun and SEE if your dog makes the list. If a radar gun then stand at 100 yards and aim. Most GOOD Whippets do about 38, others lower. Anything better needs to prove their claim by topping the list.

It's not complicated but rather fun, easy and challenging. I assume that smart collars, radar guns are alternately used based in varying submissions. This online record is a chance for dog racers, coursers and trainers to put forth PROOF with their boastful CLAIMS. Peak speed or average? Live game or lure? Grass or dirt are unimportant.
