I can't say it did, though it was interesting to watch him and pay attention to his breath rate, twitches, and stretches (and farts). In a way I was being careful not to try to enter into the experience, because if I was also focusing relaxation, love, etc. on him, this could also have an effect (not least because I was in the same room as him).

Ok , I just wondered I do think sometimes just knowing that there is someone wishing us well, praying for us (if thats your belief) can have a positive effect. A boost just from the knowledge that we are not alone if you get my drift..

Yes, that makes perfect sense, @Mad Murphy I'm sure if I'd thought about Flobo having nice healing thoughts about J it could be a warming feeling, just as virtual hugs can be. And then any improvements in J could have resulted in that warm feeling rather than the Reiki.

Did I mention that I'm part Vulcan? I have a very Western brain, it's a good job I wasn't born in the East!

Though even if Reiki does work, I'm not sure it could be expected to work on something which is basically a bit of hard skin in his pad where there is no 'disease' process - it's like trying to get a splinter out through relaxation.
This was why I would of been very surprised if it did have any effect on the corn, and in a way am glad (sorry Jasper!)that you didn't come back and say 'blimey it's gone completely!' because then people with corns and other foot problems might come to me and I really, really don't like other peoples feet:eek::eek::eek:and if I did it distant I would still need a picture:eek::eek::eek::eek:...so wrong!!!
But still happy to have one last go if any one is up for a human trial?? (Just one distant session, not 4)...or shall I never speak of it again?:D:D

Cool, Jake's not doing so great today so am a bit preoccupied but will definately be up for that, thanks!

Been avoiding this but we sadly had to say our goodbyes to Jake on Friday, so gutted.. and just feel so lost. But he was ready and went peacefully in my arms, my old man Jake.xx

Oh no...what awful news. Im so sorry for your loss. Sending love and hugs xxxxx

So sorry to hear this. He would have been happy to pass on being hugged by someone who loved him.

Oh, I'm so sorry (((Hugs))). But he went the best way possible xx

I’m so sorry to hear this @Flobo :-(
It’s so unfair that they cannot live longer (selfishly!) but I’m sure he had the best life a dog could ask for and knowing you gave him that is so special.
Sending lots of love x

Thankyou, I know you all know what this feels like, broke my heart his last few days and not quite done a day without welling up yet, but do take some comfort in that it was his time...Here's my last pic of him, we sat out in the sun and I shared my veggie sos roll with him(food is food afterall!),we had a good day, Jess in the background was my boarder over these days and she was so good, she stepped back and was respectful and gave Jake space, even getting up and down with us through the nights she quietly kept us company, dogs are amazing aren't they... I am raising a glass to all our canine friends, past, present and future with love and thanks...oh blimey my otherhalf has just put on 'over the rainbow' by Izrael something or other, that's it I'm off..pass the tissues, this was my father in laws funeral song...

It feels wrong to 'like' your post but please know I am thinking about you (and feeling that little pre-crying headache that you get).

What lovely last days and memories a shared veggie saus roll,, that will make you smile in times to come. Hard to believe now but it will..
