1,Greedy dog and a huge tummy.

This morning we had a nice early delivery from "Davids Doggy Dinners". 5 cases of "Bulmers" frozen meats. This was left conveniently for me at our front door. I was not in a hurry to get it into the freezer, the dogs were taking no notice of the frozen meat, so I made us both a cup of tea. A little later one of the puppies (16 months now) came indoors with an empty Bulmers bag, I checked the frozen trays to find that there were 3lbs of meat missing, Hmm!! Turning round I caught one little rascal just dropping a frozen pack of meat and saw another empty plastic bag being carried around. That was the 3 that were missing.
The little rascal who had dropped the frozen bag of food also had an enormous, even huge tummy. She must have eaten the other 2 packs all by herself. I have waited all day for the stench of gassy wind to rise from her level but nothing has happened. She also actually had the nerve to queue up and ask for dinner with the others this evening, Huh, that was wishful thinking on her behalf. 2lbs of meat for her is 4 days worth of meals.
Oh by the way, it was not a puppy that had eaten the meat, she only had the empty bag.

I hope she doesn't have any unpleasant side-effects. But if she does, you can guarantee it'll be at 3am!

And after you have had a bottle of wine. Well, it is Saturday ...

Oh phew, we have lift off!, it started at 10pm
She looks you in the face as if she wants to say something and then does a huge burp, it's foul, yuk. Then you get this warm stench that comes up from the floor area where she is lying just beside us, the smell spreads everywhere, Phew.
The back door will have to be left open tonight to let some fresh air into the house. It's a good job that she does not like to sleep upstairs. Oh no, she has just done another one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All clear this morning, back door was left open all night, the house is cool and fresh at the moment. I only had one problem where one of the little darlings weed on the inside door mat. Why, OMG who knows why, the back door was wide open and some news paper in the back yard which is usually used if needed at night. Our girls who would be without them !

It just shows though that with raw feeding the natural dog system can cope- though not the human nose- whereas 4 days worth of dry kibble might have meant a trip to the vet!
