Just for a few days.. Im going to Ireland
My son said come and visit us mum, have a few days off.. Take a break.

After I booked my flight he said 'Ive found a few things that will be fun for us to do'

It turns out hes decided fun includes climbing a small mountain among other things !
Im not sure if I will be taking a break or breaking a hip at this rate, anyway with any luck I will be back next tuesday.
Wish me luck !

Have a lovely time :)

Good luck. I was going to say Irish hills are a doddle but then I remembered you have none at all in the Netherlands ... so, erm, good luck! ☘️

Sounds fun . Have a good time !
I'm going to Lymington near the New Forest for a few days next week with Oh and the dogs . Im hoping the weather will be nice !

I'm going to the Lakes next week so I can pretty much guarantee it will be tipping it down with rain. ☔

Its true there are no hills here climbing anything more than a stepladder could give a Dutchman altitude sickness! We live below sea level where the air is rich and the ground is damp lol..
The last time I climbed a hill was the Brecon Beacons back in 1978.. I think I might be in for a shock.

A doddle she said.... 10 minutes in I was feeling dizzy .. But I made it to the top of the great sugarloaf in co/Wicklow and enjoyed the view so much I could have sat for hours just soaking up all the calm. Sally Gap also offered great views and there were castles and breaches to explore as well as a few well placed pubs along the way. Had a fantastic time.

Oh I love Ireland and the Irish! Gentle, soft and (the countryside) gre-een....

Looks like your having a great time the view in the first pic is beautiful:)

Thanks it was wonderful . I made no decisions just let my son do all the planning and went along for the ride. It was such a lovely feeling not having to plan or be in charge or responsible for anyone! I even enjoyed a drink....or two

Well I managed the cake .sort of. Ive only seen the youtube how to video once and our fondant here is not as soft and plyable as it is in the UK or US so it wasnt a great work of art. Still OH was surprised and loved it which makes another nice memory for him.
