Hi
I have not posted in a while and hoping you lovely people have some ideas. My dog Betty who is 18 months now has developed some strange behaviours recently .She will whine and only stop when you stroke her back .I posted a video on a staffie page and they say that it is just normal staffie behaviour she also has mad moments where she is upside down flailing about whining like a loony. The only thing that as changed recently is I am not here all day now due to child minding duties with it being the school holidays so is it attention seeking on her part she isn't left alone at anytime during the day its not just me she does this to she does it to us all ..She as also started chewing her tail and her back end she has recently been flee d and cannot see any fleas on her but I also have been told that staffies are prone to allergies in the summer months She isn't ill or anything she is eating drinking well doing all the things she should she s just acting out of character to what she usually does.

Chewing her back end could be anal gland problems. ...upside down thing is quite common in this house ...
some dogs are sensitive to changes even if small to us ...and staffys are very sensitive ...my Staffy X greyhound is the most sensitive of all my lot ...;)

I agree the upside down thing is normal both the boys do it, George flys around jumping on all the furniture and rolling about.
Biting the back end is a sign of an allergy or anal glands so that needs checking out.
