My one and half year old shit tzu was very listless so we took him to vet and they diagnosed tummy bug or something he had ate but two weeks later he is being sick and hardly eating when we were at the vet they said it’s possible he has an ulcer has anyone came across this before?

I am surprised the vets didn't do follow up tests if they suspected an ulcer ...I would be taking him back to the vets tomorrow if he is still being sick after 2 weeks

Agreed this needs a vet to check out whats going on.

They gave him two injections at the time and a course of opramezole but he just doesn’t seem to be picking up but he is only sick first thing in the morning

As he is such a young dog i would get him checked again as being sick every day isnt normal ..let us know how he gets on ....
What do you feed him ..

Sorry for asking but - he is only sick first thing - can you describe what it looks like?

He gets tails but when he was at the vet they told us chicken rice for a week so we did that

Yellow vomit often indicates an empty stomach ...how many times a day do you feed him .....

Agree with @Kara 1 , and that was why I asked - that does sound like the sort of vomit from an empty stomach. Try feeding a few pieces of kibble or a biscuit just before bed.

Took him back to vet today so they are checking for pancreatitis took bloods and also gave him an anti inflammatory injection and anti sickness so just waiting on blood results to see what is next

He won’t eat his kibble so vet has told me to give him boiled rice until we get to the bottom of this he had a temperature too

Just had call from vet he doesn’t have pancreatitis they are not sure what it is so it’s a month on ompramzole and bland foods and if he doesn’t get better they will do a scope poor wee man

He wont get much nutrients from just rice ...glad its not pancreatic. ..i would mix a little fish or even chappie in with the rice ...
