Thanks Finsky, hardly slept as kept worrying about Lily. Still very quiet and lethargic but had a few drinks of water and went out for a wee at 2am, hubby gone back to bed for a couple of hours as poor fella has to go to work. Back at the vets for 9.15 so we’ll see what she says.
Morning, I though you might have been doing night nurse role. At least she has had few drinks, that is a positive sign. I bet you'll be on your way to vet by now and I hope tides are starting to turn and your little one is on its way to recovery now.

Oh bummer...
Well...at least she carry on drinking, that is good sign. And wanting to just sleep on its own is not bad as such neither.
I had to take mine to vets couple of weeks ago as all of the sudden she was being poorly, but she was barely drinking at all. It turned out to be pancreatitis and part of the 'remedy' was to keep her from food as long as possible.
I supposed similar thing is normal recommendation for anything that involve digestion 'upsets'...so even not having food is quite scary but within limits it is good too.
Yeah...I know you know all this. I'm trying to do some 'pet talk' as the sudden illness from out of nowhere is still fresh and raw in my memory. I'm still constantly watching her for any possible signs for its return...no matter how playful and energetic she might appear. I'm rattling again...
I hope it turns out to be 'just' a some sort of tummy bug..plenty of them about this time of the year and your little one is on its way to recovery while it rests.

Oh bless you Finsky, they worry us so much don’t they? Hope your little one stays healthy  how old is she?

Oh don't they just! I worry about mine wellbeing more than do I my own.
The funny thing is, I thought she was practically on death doors the way she was behaving, but within 12 hours from the start of the medication she all of the sudden decided there was nothing wrong with her at all! That's getting up from deep sleep to full on play with the other dog at 2 am..that's when my night nurse duties did changed and drastically  I would not believe it if I wouldn't been there to witness it.
Iida is now about 18 months old...otherwise fit as fiddle so it was rather a surprise why she got poorly with such a thing..she is not in the usual risk group but such a things do happen for no particular reason. And she haven't shown anymore signs what so ever with it, but I'm still being careful and keeping her on the special diet and the necessary supplements for some time yet. Better be safe than sorry.

She’s only a baby, bless her. No wonder you were worried about her. I get in a real panic when mine have been poorly, Hubby would love another one but I don’t feel I could cope, I worry about everything, just wish I could chill a bit :D if my grown up kids are ill I just say you’ll be fine :D my hubby had a quadruple heart bypass 6 years ago and I was better with that than Lily being poorly ;) Crazy woman :D:D

Nah...not crazy..you've got your priorities right :D:rolleyes:
I can truly relate to all that. My hubby keeps saying....she is fine, she is tough terrier. And I knew at the time that although when outside, she was running around looking normal, but was doing so with help of the adrenalin going around as being outside means same as hunting =exciting.
With health things I'm easily turned into worrying type...but otherwise I'm quite a chill 'mum'. If anything..hubby has to check from me if our dogs rough and tumble play is ok or if they are getting nasty. But no..it is case of being fine and that's normal, even if they seem to be ripping each other apart... Though I do have to step in every now and then and calm things down for a notch or two.
I had heart attack last spring and had to stay in hospital for a week....all that time I was worrying how hubby would cope with Iida as she was still a pup then. I was instructing stuff from my hospital bed and could not wait to get back home.

Always worries me if I had to go into hospital as no one looks after them like we do! :D Hope you’re doing ok after your heart attack.
Hoping Lily recovers as quickly as your little one did , she’s slept nearly all day and still hasn’t eaten anything but still drinking. Off to the vets in a while though not sure what else they can do , we’ll see .

Just back from the vets ( saw a different one) and she was saying there are so many cases of this virus! If we can’t get Lily to eat by tomorrow morning she’ll have to go in for the day on a feed drip, had another injection tonight to keep sickness at bay, may have to do bloods if she doesn’t improve to make sure nothing is going on with liver etc . Desperate to get her to eat as don’t want her in the vets on her own :(

I was lookIng for a heart emoji but couldn't find one so have a (((hug))).

From JoanneF and me too :emoji_blue_heart: :D

I do hope she can avoid staying at the vets - it must be so worrying, but at least she'd be in good hands xx

Oh bless you  I’m finding it so tough to cope with, been through lots with poorly ponies, cats , dogs etc but everything seems worse the older I get....hubby says I’m a wuss :D he’s right ;)
She won’t eat anything Judy, tried her with a bit of lamb which she loves but just turns her head away, apart from force feeding ( just joking honest ;)) don’t know what else to do :(

And, me, too. xx

Our old boy, years ago, had to stay at the vets for 3 days. It was a really strange thing, with an odd name, like haemorrhagic (sp?) diarrhoea, basically to keep him hydrated. Came through it with flying colours, didn’t seem to have worried at all about being away from home, and definitely best place for him to be to ensure fluid intake. :)

Thank you Dixie, I know it’s the best thing for her and she probably won’t bother about me being worried!:D I’m just being daft :p she was in for tooth extraction a few months back and I was fine :)

Sorry to hear she’s still not got any better.

Did they offer antibiotics?

Morning Josie, Lily has eaten some Weetabix this morning so I’m feeling more positive ! She had an antibiotic injection as she couldn’t have tablets due to not eating , just hoping we’ve turned a corner and she’s on the mend, still very sleepy and doesn’t want to do much, going to try scrambled egg for lunch and see how that goes. Still drinking lots of water which is good!

Oh I'm so glad she's eating! Hopefully she's turned a corner.

Maybe it’s just taking her a little longer because of her age. These oldies require a lot more TLC don’t they! X
