Help choosing please

Ok so its my friends Rottweilers birthday at the end of the month so im buying him a gift but i cant messure the dog and im getting it as a suprise for my friend too. Should i go for XL or should i go for XXL?

My own boy fits the XXL but hes a big Rottie. Im wondering if its better to just go for the XXL as its better to be slightly bigger than to be too tight. And rotties are stocky dogs. On another site a golden owner said there a tad small and she brough a L for her Retriever but it was too tight so got the XL and it fits. Which makes me think XXL is best pick?

I would say go for the XXL, like you said Rotties are stocky and you dont want them to feel uncomfortable in it. How old is your friends Rottie? Is he still growing or fully sized now?

Fully grown. Weighs 45kg

So he's fairly average sized for a Rottie but as you already know they are larger than most dogs in frame and the coat id imagine is made for the average dog. I would stick with your gut instinct and get the XXL

Another vote for XXL. You can use a coat that's a bit too big but not one that's a bit too small.
