Well, it is almost a year since I posted first photos of my little ones and not a lot has changed with their behaviour despite being little older.
In fact Eva, our 'spirited one'...the 'forever pup' got court going to through my seed catalogue. I wonder if she found what she was looking for? o_O:rolleyes:

I don't think much have changed with these two....certainly our 'Auntie Eva' is still as much as 'puppy' as before..:rolleyes:
Spot the dog...

Our girl is in the middle of process being trimmed...or sort of o_O...she allows me to tidy her up a minute at the time so her hair cut is wild..and face is the last area that she will let me near with any kind of implement. But I get there eventually....and I don't mind her wild looks...the look does match her character :D:D

and other one is totally opposite...always neat and tidy..look wise as well as how she does things (most of the time)

Our lot had first free run fun of the year...and this time pups included and what a fun they had! Yes, it was wet and muddy but it didn't stop all of us getting all mucky.

And I thought good run on the field would calm them down for a afternoon....wrong! :rolleyes:
The play did continue indoors..yes, it looks rough...but it is 'just' playing :D Honest!

Eventually pups decided they've had enough and settled down for a nap. They seem like to do everything together..:)

I love the photo of the two pups in the basket :) The black & tan - sorry, I've forgotten their names - is a little cracker, I'm quite taken with her.

Oh that's our 'pocket rocket' Aila.

Lovely pics and lovely update - thank you!

Great pics and lovely seeing them all out together, a happy looking bunch! Especially love that pic of Eva and Iida all muddy on the walk!
Those pics at home with all the toys out looks just like my front room when it's ferret time:D:D

All four look like they would of fitted in well down at the HEADS DOWN ARSE UP CLUB with the other hooligans. That was the name of a unofficial terrier club down at one of the local pubs.

:D Oh indeed..though they do master not putting their arses up as well...quite opposite really. Next door has few indoor cats and ours are on daily look out for when one of them appear on upstairs windowsill. Oh the joy when that happens....there are some overly excited terriers high on their back legs and certain type of 'huffing' is going on..:rolleyes:

Right then....I'm in a mood of some extra typing and since my camera has seen some action lately, I might as well do little more thorough introduction for our pack's characters..yes, it is like real life pantomime at times.:rolleyes:
First our eldest, almost 3 years old Iida (pronounced 'EE-da');
DSC_0229.JPG
Iida is very laid back character for a terrier. She doesn't make much noise at all and saves her vocal cords for when they are truly needed. In house she is the most loving and cool little girl and since she had her pups, she has turn out to have very matriarchal tendencies. She doesn't only care about her youngsters, but is often showing her caring side towards us humans as well and put herself like a shield on front of us when ever pups get bit overly bouncy and we are in danger to get scratched...or if she gets the vibes that I am not very happy with the youngsters...she is soon hugging me, knowing that I will instantly turn into soft 'mush' with her :D Any cuts or damages to any of us and she is attempting to make them better.
When our second eldest, Eva, arrived as pup, Iida herself was only a year old....but she took to look after Eva like a pro! Outside she is fearless hunter....unfortunately it means her hearing doesn't select our calls into her brain, so off-lead time does only happen within secure areas. Cat's and foxes does not have any chance to interfere with our property......:rolleyes:

Then our second eldest, Eva...she is almost 2 years old now;
DSC_0253.JPG
Eva is little bit of a 'odd ball' of the pack. Not only a look wise but in character too...and that must the wire fox terrier in her 'recipe'. She has incredibly soft side to her....but she can be VERY grumpy too :D....and oh SO playful! Grumpiness happens most often in the mornings as she is slow to wake up...she likes her 'lie ins', but come mid-day and she start to wake up...looking for a toys and volunteers to play with her (that's usually me). And BOY can she play....there is no end for throwing balls/toys around and fetching them OR ragging a rope....I don't know where she gets her stamina from!
All in all she had adjusted well to the new family order and the fact that she is not anymore the youngest who gets away with many things and no matter how irritating puppies can be at the times....with some help from us by letting Eva have some of her own time upstairs or going for allotments with just me as company...she has stepped up into her status of 'Auntie Eva' really well.

Then we have Ella...one of the two Iida's pups.
DSC_0199.JPG
Just like her mum, Ella is already showing the 'cool' side of the terrier, though being only 6 months old...she can be rather irritant too and she does it VERY well too. She does irritate Eva with her 'special' waggle dance...doing cutely very submissive posturing while doing full body waggle and pushing herself on Eva's face...sometimes even into her mouth! And if any of us attempt to say no or Eva warning her off...she just jumps up the waggle and tries even harder. And that's when she turns herself into 'pest mode'...and oh yes, she knows what she is doing!
Hardest job with her is to try to keep her puppy enthusiasm down...but at least it is never nasty and she is not nippy, we got very easily over that stage with her. Ella has claimed a place next to me during night but never get in empty handed and brings toy and/or chew with her. Usually number of them increase during the night and it is not unheard of that I wake up with deer leg or other body part on my pillow! o_O But otherwise she is absolutely glued to me and stays so until I get up for a 'shift' change...
Her prey dive is not risen yet so we have still lots to see how she will turn out.....but so far so good;)

And last but not least our Aila (said same way as you would Ayla);
DSC_0232.JPG
Aila is our 'pocket rocket' that my OH set his eyes on. Just like Auntie Eva, this little one is another 'spirited one' in the pack. Eva and Aila have mutual understanding and they won't irritate each other either with puppy stuff or stealing each others chews...other ones are fair game for it..:rolleyes: Aila is quite vocal one and just like Eva, she is quick to allert anything that is not quite right and we need to be aware of.....and she is talker too...usually complaining 'talk'..something like I'm not giving her food quick enough :rolleyes: She is my day time 'glue'...she always sleep on her own, keeping away from everybody else, but come day time and she is using every opportunity to park her bum on me when possible...oh and all those endless tickly kisses:D
This little one shows signs of very sharp brain coming on....time will tell how brainy she will be.
