I bought the pack of 300 for just under £30, I notice they are also doing a 3 for 2 on it.

Timber gets one a day (8 kilos) and that costs just under 10p a day.

And, on an additional note, Mr F decided he should be on them too (human version, I'm not that cruel). I am still waiting to see the effects on him, it's only been a week ...

I also got Timber a bioflow magnetic collar. People seem to say either that they are fabulous, or they make no difference at all; but I thought it can't do any harm and if it does help, it's worth every penny (about £25).

Hi @JoanneF, thanks for that, will look into it. Jimbo has improved since my earlier posts and since to be back to full mobility, which is awesome :) A strange thing also happened - he played with a ball in the garden - catching it in the air, chasing it, trying to dig it out from behind plants and generally going mad. He's never shown any interest in a ball before, so no idea what brought that on! Thanks again.

Just looked up this post again - @JoanneF are you still using this supplement and impressed with the ongoing results? I ask as Jimmy sometimes has a bit of a lopsided walk about him, not quite a limp, and mostly it's not there so I wondered if perhaps in his advancing years his joints are starting to play up :( He's still as keen as ever for walks though and he trots along at a speed I can just about keep up with! I hope you and Timber are well :)

Someone recommended it - she used it for her dog and was sure it helped.

I'm sure I'm seeing a difference in T.

I just wish I could find something as effective for me - I've started on a glucosamine supplement but I feel very creaky and stiff sometimes.

Thanks. I think we all feel creaky and stiff from time-to-time. I do today after a couple of beach walks yesterday

Hi @JoanneF! Are you still using the Ageility supplement? I didn't move forward with this as his limping seemed to go away, however he limped quite a bit this morning and has been licking around his front leg joints after his walk, so I need to do something (will check him later to make sure he hasn't got a prickle in his foot or something. A quick look earlier didn't find anything).

Hi - good to hear from you, although I'm sorry to hear about Jimmy.

Yes, we are still using Ageility. Last week, we went on a 5 mile walk, quite hilly, and I thought he would need a rest day on the following day with just a gentle bimble about. He had other ideas and was totally up for a decent walk again.

He will be 11 in June.

So I'm very pleased with the results.

Thanks for the quick reply. So glad to hear that Timber is still motoring along! Jimmy has been licking one of his front feet/ankles this morning and won't let me look at it, but I can't see anything obvious. Perhaps a quick visit to the vet is in order. If it's a thorn or similar it's odd, as he was treading gently once he got out of (our!) bed this morning... I'll get the supplement anyway as I don't think hat can hurt.

I also have a bioflow collar on him (like the magnetic bracelets some people wear). I don't know if it helps or not, but I don't think it can harm.

And I've been reading a lot recently about the importance of short nails. If the nails are on the ground, it affects the foot position and can cause problems. I've not been brave enough to have a go at them though!

Interesting about nails. Jimmy's have never been cut as he seems to scrap them on hard ground we walk on. One time we asked the vet to cut his nails and she said they were short enough and any further cutting would cause him to bleed. If we get to the vets I'll ask about this. Thanks for all the tips :)

Some dogs wear their claws down naturally (lucky them). T's feet are quite flat iykwim - his toes and therefore nails don't really point downwards so they do get too long.

Well Jimmy has had a couple of short walks today, and he seems as keen as ever to go out. We actually walked past the vets and I though about going in to book an appointment, but you can't do that any more due to COVID. Anyway, apart from a few skips here and there he seems to be walking fine, so my wife and I have decided to keep an eye on him over the next few days and book him in if necessary. I have ordered 75g of Ageility and will start him on that as soon as it arrives - I went for the smaller pack as a sort of trial. How long do you think that will last, bearing in mind it looks as though I have to give a double dose for the first week? Thanks.

Medium, about 15-16kg

Oh and it looks as though he has a sore or cut on the side of his foot, just a pad. Managed to get a peek earlier.

Aw, poor lad - but you probably have your reason.

If that's the case, I don't think I'd bother with the initial loading dose.

T gets about a half scoop a day (he is 8 kilos) so allowing a full scoop a day for Jimmy, that's 2.5 grams per scoop - I'll have to let you do the maths, I don't do numbers I'm afraid.

Thanks for that. Called the emergency vet last night as Jimmy has been licking his foot non-stop. We put on some Isoderm cream we had previously been given, the vet said that was a good thing to do. There was no need to take him in last night according to the vet. He'll be going in today. From what I can see it looks almost like a reddish blister right on the top part of a pad (so not the part the would usually touch the ground). Walkies was as normal this morning, although he stared licking his foot when he was relaxing after breakfast and had time to think about it. More Isoderm applied. Anyway, I realise I'm going a bit off topic, sorry...

I should have read the Ageility website more closely

"A 75g pouch lasts approximately 30 days based on a 20kg dog"

Aw, poor boy.

I hope your regular vet can get him sorted. Let us know how you get on please?
