Hi I have 2 new sprocker pups that are waiting their second jabs. I have a 3 year old pugzu fully jabbed etc.. can he still go for walks or is it best to keep him at home till the other two are fully jabbed?
Thanks

We take our older dog only to shorter walk on streets in the neighbourhood, avoiding parks until the puppy is double jabbed

Of course your older dog needs his daily walks......... fact is you can bring into the house yourself on your shoes or touching a dog who has something the pups can catch if you do not wash your hands.

There is always an element of risk with a new puppy.
The puppy should be able to start potty training straight away in your own back garden and your older dog should still be able to enjoy his/her daily walks/exercise.

If your puppies are healthy and have been reared with their natural mother they should have consumed their mums' colostrum and will have natural maternal immunity to last them for quiet a while. This should last in most cases until the vaccinations have taken effect.

I would never suggest walking other dogs in the household in community parks, on pavements or where there is a well used area by other dogs.
Try to use areas and walks that do not have a lot of use by too many other dogs.
If we have a new puppy we still go out for walks, but somewhere where there is not much, if any, public use.
Foxes get everywhere but this is just one of the risks of owning a new young puppy.

We have never had any problems with new puppies early walking or taking adults out for their daily wees, poos and exercise.
