Since Sitka has got his set of adult teeth and developed a strong jaw he has destroyed every one of his soft puppy toys. We have got him a few replacements that looked more durable but he works on the seam until he gets an opening and then he gets all the stuffing out before chewing the squeaker.
Yesterday we went to Aldi. One of this week's 'aisle of wonder' Specials is soft dog toys with outside seams, £3.99. Sitka has been working on his squeaky cactus with the dedication of an expert safe-cracker but has not made a breach. He looks a little disheartened.

He is sooooo handsome.

We like Kong Snugga Wubbas, though Jasper did tend to remove most of their legs in the early days.

So far I haven't found any stuffed toys that would last the destruction of determined dog on a mission to 'kill'.
We have huge bag full of inexpensive and more so branded toys that are each on different stages in need of repair and are put away for that rainy day that I bother to sit down with needle and cotton to rescue them AGAIN.
Ropes are ones that cope better our hounds attention, but then again..they don't squeak..

Mine absolutely love these. They would normally shred plushy ones within minutes of getting their paws on it. This actually makes it into their bed to sleep with and carried around the house (apologies if the pic takes up all of your screen  ) £2.99 from Home Bargains. They do in fact prefer each others though.

I second the Kong knot toys (in fact most Kong toys are pretty good!), Roxy loves her Kong comfort kiddos elephant at the moment which I bought for her birthday in May and it's still going strong and fully intact (she's not much of a chewer/destroyer mind you). :D

I hate to admit to it but I buy our lot a "Dog Not" each most Christmases from Equafleece.
The girls are not destructive the "Dog Not"s wash and dry easily, they are all over the place in the house, in their beds and all over the garden And at £4 each, a bargain.

Ronnie is now 18 months old he has had his large Kong Duck since he was 8 weeks, he plays tug with the other dogs daily and the Duck is still in one piece:)

Hark my heedy warning! He will.breach the seams! Just give him a little.time to renegotiate with Mr Cactus just who is the boss,...if there's one thing I have come to adore about Huskies. It's their determination to perform surgery on any sort of stuffed toy..and display fluff like a trophy of their success as they enjoy to snuggle and bury the carcass of their battles...flat unstuffed snugglies have better life expectancy in our house ..soft enough to chew and cuddle and strong enough to whip the life out of when shaking within an inch of its life once the squeaker has been successfully extracted...embrace the furry fun!

I find that these cotton ropes are amazing, they are also really fun and good for you and the dog, search petmarketplace .co.uk for cotton rope toy.

I buy inexpensive cotton horse lead/ropes that I cut into shorted lengths for our girls to play with ...knotting them along the rope few times and hey presto....I get several rope toys from one purchase. ;)

the dog I have now dose not play with toys, but he is 14 and a bit docile, but with my other 2 I used to go to a charity shop and buy a bag full.
