Love em  Not as graceful as whippets but cheeky, feisty little dogs. I love terriers..thanks for putting these photos on...any more?

Love these pics, what a little bruiser! I am guessing yours is the white wiry one? Even in the second pic you can see all he's thinking about is giving that front dog a hammering, he's got it in his sights. Love watching terrier races.

Linda

bless em  terriers really give it their all dont they :D little dogs but a whole lotta heart :huggles:

Lovely photos - those little legs going 10 to the dozen.

Small dogs but very speedy.

Me thinks Alfie boy would love a go at this. :D

Smashing pictures - never seen terriers racing. :teehee: :D

ive never seen terrier racing, looks good fun.

They look like they are having a great time :D Before we got into whippet racing we had terriers & they would have loved that :D

Terrier racing is brilliant to watch.

Thanks for the photos.

Edited to say it looks like your dog would have won that if it's mind hadn't been elsewhere.

yes terrier racing is great fun ,a bit noisier than whippets lol ,i think he will be a winner lol when he learns to chase the lure not other dogs (w00t) at least he didnt fight when he caught the other dog :- " im sure he prefers it to the open show he had been doing all morning

great fun,i used to do this with my manchesters.they love it! :D

oh youve got manchesters? my friends manchester nearly took part lol

The pics are great...we used to have JRT's when I was a kid and they were fiesty little things (w00t)

i havent got any now,but i used to show and breed them for years.we went to a game fair once and i took my bitch gipsy.we entered her in the terrier racing.when i was filling the forms in the guy taking the entries had never heard of a manny and i think he thought i was pulling his leg.so he asked someone and they confirmed she was one!anyway we put her in the trap, she turned round facing the back so after the race had started the guy came round to the back of her trap and opened it up and let her out.she ran around to the front, and overtook all the other dogs and then legged it back down the track to where i was!the terrier men were amazed.what the hell was that they said! (w00t) it was so funny!

My 2 8yo JRT still love racing and keep winning - the tan one has caught the lure a couple of time and run off with it much to the crouds delight. The smooth one sometimes has other ideas about the other dogs but if she puts her mind to it quite often end up 1st and 2nd. 'older' dog power!!

Pity the whip won't join in he just runs and says hello to everyone - bless.
