We have just arrived home from our first camping trip of the season. 8) Alfie and Daisy had a lovely time and spent most of the time snoozing in the sunshine, -_- running on the beach and swimming in the sea. here are a couple of piccies of our trip, i didn't manage to get much sleep as Daisy insisted on trying to get IN my sleeping bag every night :- " (it is a "mummy style" bag and very narrow at the bottom) it didn't put her off a bit, (w00t) she fidgets more than the kids.

please excuse the poor quality i have to take a photo of the photo woth my phone then use that as my camera photos are all too big?

Glad you had a good time & loved the pics. Alfie & Daisy look as though they've really made themselves at home outside 'their' tent. 8) :teehee:

Love that last pic.

I love camping too...rarely take the boys though partly due to that sleeping bag thing :- " .

I'm sure your two whippets enjoyed it ...looks like they had a good time.

our lot love camping and we sloved the sleeping bag problem buy getting a king sized air bed and taking a normal king size quilet with us theres enghe room for 4 greyhounds 2 whippets and us in there all be it a tight sqeeze but were never cold

Looks fun :) Love it that they were sunbathing in their coats

Where did you go? It looks great.

The last time we went away in the caravan I ended up sleeping on the sofa as there was not enough room for me in the bed with OH and 5 dogs

We were in Cromer (North Norfolk ) the sun was out but the wind was very cold hence the coats (w00t) It was a great camp site with a separate field for all us dog lovers and 10 minutes walk to the beach 8) which had a huge area for the dogs to go mad on the sand,

nice pics.the one with "daddy" is very sweet.

whippets do seem to like camping,my three do. :)

we haven't been camping since we added the boxer and the beagle to our pack though because most camp sites will only allow upto four dogs and we've struggled to find somewhere really dog friendly.

it always used to be great fun camping, walking, lazing around with the pooches with our tent and all the gear,i quite miss it myself.

i think whippets are well suited to camping because while they like all the activity, they are still quite happy to chill for a bit when you need them to.

Great pictures  looks like they had a great time :)

We like camping and Evie loves it, not had the chance to take Gracie yet but i'm sure she will love it, especially when she realises she can sleep with us

lovely piccys

looks like you had a wonderful time :D :D

Looks like fun! :))

Those look like snuggly jackets they have one, where did you get them?

Gemma :huggles:

We went camping 2weeks ago, we climbed up onto Haystacks after work and set the tent up by Innominate Tarn, in the dark. Dogs loved it especailly waking up at 5 in the morning and dissapearing for an hour before breakfast, I wonder what they got up to..... Anyway they slept for two days after that, bless them!

Daisy has a venture coat on (do a google search on venture coats) and Alfie was given his for Christmas so not sure where it was from.

You must have a huge frame tent! :)

Smashing pictures - looks like the dogs loved every minute.

Gosh! What an intrepid lot you all are!! I don't 'do' camping, not enough home comforts for my liking!!!

we have just come back from cornwall yesterday and it was our alfies first camping trip. weather was lovely in the day but really cold at night.one of the piccies is of alfie in polperro and the other is his usual position under his sleeping bag. I've never been so grateful for a whippy body warmer in all my life :))
