:( We had a lovely walk yesterday, running with another whippet and a JRT/Lakeland x.

Great fun, but Lola seems to have run through a bush and scragged her eye. Ouch! It looked a bit awful when she first did it, but a bit better this morning although still red, and the iris part has a blue-silver cast to it so I popped her in to see the vet this morning.

She has a nice black eye and a graze to the eyeball (there was a special name, but I can't remember it) so she's got painkillers and antibiotic eye ointment for a week.

She of course, thinks it's all a fuss about nothing

Poor girl :( . Sure she will heal fine, Pimms had a very sore eye when she was kicked by the nasty horse. It swelled shut and went all puffy and infected, she is fine now though :) .

Hope she gets better soon :huggles: :huggles: :huggles:

Hope she gets better soon, how is she when you put the eye ointment on ?

btw how has big sister, Josies scar healed up ?

Ella did her leg tear on 4 th Sept and it still isn't healed fully yet, currently she's got a habit of licking it, there's a little hernia underneath, must be annoying her :- "

At least Lola can't lick the eye cream off !

She is fine with the eye cream - but I have to keep Josie away or SHE licks it off

Josie has healed up really well although there's a bald bit under her arm and a deep groove on her back leg under the fur :( She's done so well, though

Poor Ella, that is a long time, isn't it? Probably the hernia is bothering her. Will they do anything about that?

I think not, it's very tiny but there's a definite lump there about 8 mm

Aww poor Lola. Made my eyes water reading your original post.

How's she doing Helen? Give her a big kiss from us.

If it makes you feel any better we have been in the wars too.....

Leia has 'pinged' a muscle and has been lead walked for 3 weeks now.....but the good news is ( I think...) she managed to free her 'fused' wrist a bit a the same time so she has more movement now. It was horrid - it was just in a big lump at the top of her leg - the vet x-rayed it said it wasnt broken again and lead walk her for 7 -10 days. Missed it totally. So we have now moved all of the animals to another vet who is absolutely fantastic :D

Lucas tore his pencil muscle and now that that has healed he has skinned a pad completely.

Star has torn one of her big bunchy muscles on her back leg (Damn deer popping up) so she has had an injection and cant have any exercise at all for 2 weeks, then lead walking for another 4.... granulis muscle I think it is called.

Holly is having her second plate off in 3 weeks and at the same time hoping to try and repair her flat foot a bit - which is total lack of tendons apparently...

Apart from that we are all fine! (Well, Vader and Tie are!)
