Lily has been with us for about 6 weeks now. When I first showed her on the forum, she had just been rescued and weighed only 11 lbs.

Here she is now! She is thriving, living next door with my friend Bea, to whom she is permanently velcroed :huggles:

She loves being with Polly and Twiggy and can't understand why we keep her out of their rough games at the moment (she is 13, deaf, partly blind and very fragile. Also much smaller than them)

Lily is looking lovely.  It's good to hear she is putting on weight and has settled in so well. Good on you both for giving her a lovely home. :huggles: :huggles:

Wow, she looks amazing. I can't believe it's six weeks ago that you first showed us pictures of her!

She's looking wonderfully well cared for. I hope I can be as successful with my own new set of bones and skin :b

I'm sure Montgomery will soon get some confidence and start filling out. We started giving Lily 3 smallish meals a day (plus treats  ) as she had been starved and mainly eating grass and faeces and drinking dew and urine, so we started slowly but she hoovered up everything in sight, including Polly and twiggy's meals if she could :teehee: Not sure what she weighs now, but her spine and ribs are only just visible and her pin bones are much less prominent.

Good luck with monty - he's definitely fallen on his feet getting you as his new family

:huggles: Lily

Well done  :huggles:

Lily is just so.... o:) Its lovely to think of her having a lovely new life with you all,

(how anybody can be so heartless as to give her that horrible life shes had - I really dont know  )

Thank god shes with you all now - and Happy. :) :huggles:

Wow! She looks amazing!    Big congrats to you and Bea (and Polly & Twiggy, of-course) for producing such amazing results in such a short time. :huggles: :huggles:

She's lovely. Congratulations.

I like the last picture of her with the pink coat. That's so sweet :huggles:

Many greetings from Belgium,

She is so affectionate too. Her favourite place to be is on Bea's lap, under a cover. My lap will also do if Bea is unavailable, but I'm more bony (w00t)

She is very generous with her kisses and everyone gets one each morning when she and Bea come over - even Polly and Twiggy! The sceptic in me says she is tasting us to see if there is any food she's missed out on, but she IS a very loving little girl.

I really don't know how the second wife of her owner (who died) hated her so much she could neglect her to the point of starving her to death. Thank goodness for a caring housekeeper and the courage of the whippet rescue lady who went in a took her, convincing the wife that a new home was better than having her die.

beautiful pictures of a much happier and healthier lily. well done for saving her and making so much progress so quickly :huggles:
