Have I got the only Whippet in the world that won't go out in the snow??? (and the rain, wind, little bit cold ............ :- " ).

TJ has been really good since having his two new coats for Christmas, a fleece and a raincoat (both very thick and warm with snood necklines!) and has deigned to come for at least one walk, more often two, a day until yesterday!! He discovered it had snowed in the night when they first got up and would he go for a walk morning or afternoon (and it has mostly gone by the afternoon)????

NO!!!

He is a so-and-so, he curls up on one of the beds (usually in a cage), tucks his legs right under him and if I insist on putting his collar on, he will then roll onto his back so he cannot be dragged to his feet. It is a definite "NOT ON YOUR NELLY!!! I AM NOT GOING FOR A WALK!!!"

Funny Frogdog!! He did come out this morning though now it has all gone!

Teenis like that, perhaps we could breed a new type of dog that doesn'nt have to be walked in the winter :D

She hides under the table and also turns upside down if I try to pull her out. (w00t)

  Archie won't walk in the rain - he will go outside and then when he realises he just closes his eyes and refuses to walk until I have to take him back in again!!

Aww   bless her :huggles:

I couldnt force any dog to go out if they just dont want to :huggles: fortunately Ive always had dogs that didnt mind it, but when Chip my previous whippet to Oscar, got older - he also wasnt too keen of going out in the pelting rain or snow. :huggles:

PMSL

Those poor dogs are fainting with shock that they are expected to go out in bad weather.

Harley is exactly like that, if he doesn't want to move off his bed, there is nothing that will move him, he rolls backwards, relaxes all the whole of his body so its impossible to pick him up, and my god if I try he goes mad!!!!! :- " :- "
