Just in case anyone is interested Maddy has just come into season and i have no intention of breeding of her due a to lack of time. If anyone is interested in taking a litter of pups put of her send me an email. Her breeding is as follows Grahams Dream x Liitle Lyndz(Greyhound). Her racing pedigree is second to none and in somewhere close to 50 lurcher races including heats she only lost once and this was after an 18 month lay off. Whilst i raced her she competed in 4 All Ireland Finals and won every one, also Chatsworth over 23" racing Champion....too many others to list. She had very limited racing experience around the bends but a few years back i took her to give ger a trial round Warwick to race her at the BWRA Championships. After close to 12 hours travelling with the 1st time around the track and using a kickboard for the first time she posted a time of 16:13 but was unable to travel to the championships the following week which was won by banjo with a time of 16:07.

If anyone is interested call me on 07921864859 or send me a mail. All i want is her back after the pups have been reared.

Is this a normal thing to do? Putting your dog to a strangers house to have pups in a strange environment. Then once she has be used shipped back to her owners? If you have no intention of breeding her yourself then why breed from her at all?

i would be thinking tha same as neave,as i would be scared of her being mistreated (spelling).but i can see were your coming from dazgail with the hassle of pups, anyway has she ever been worked on rabbit also how tall is she exactley and what does she weigh.if anyonewants to put a greyhound over her i will be interested in a pup.

good hunting

She is approx 23 1/4" and weighed between 46-50lbs when racing, i never hunted her. Thank you John for your kind words. Without trying to sound too cheeky i'm not going to diccuss every detail about her on this topic. I have her times printed out of some of her times around my local greyhound schooling track and she was one very fast dog...ie from the boxes to the bends just a couple of lengths of the top sprint greyhounds in the country. When i say top sprint greyhounds i'm not talking about graders, i mean open class champions and derby contenders. The only reason i posted this is because i think it is a waste not to breed of her and it gives someone the opportunity to breed of a very well bred bitch who was very talented. I would love her to be bred by someone who is interested in the racing scene whether it would be non-peds or lurchers and would love to see them using one of the top non ped stud dogs. As i've stated before all i want is the bitch back. Please if you are going to post anything negative go to another site and if you want to discuss anything about her give me a call or mail me.

Darren

i understand what you mean- but by leasing out a bitch to have a litter would be very stressful for her indeed, so how are you being considerate to this dog? you are doing it so you can pass on her good line, but you need to think about the individual dog itself more so!

why not choose someone who has the stud, then mate them, keep bitch yourself during whelping, then leave it up to studs owner to find homes and take the money????? this way, you are getting what youwant and using this bitch but the responsibility lies in stud owner, and the bitch gets to stay in usual surroundings.......

to me (vet nurse) dogs are too often used as puppy factories, and never given the commitment they deserve, sorry if this has offended, but your post is offensive itself.

wow, if this goes ahead, what pups these shud be!!! (w00t) just surprised that u wudnt keep a pup from her urself darren as that wud be a waste?? well goodluck with watever comes off this  :luck:

Rose :)

What a golden oppurtunity for for someone.Come on you lads and lasses over the water get your heads together and come up with a solution. Here's a chance for a quality pup  Any choices on stud dogs Darren, theres loads to choose from :D Karen

what breed are you looking or would like to be put to her? i know a few people with salxgreys and also a seriously good dog thats a bullxsalxgrey.

Hey Darren, thanks for the offer. But the only pup that Megan had to Star ,has broken all 4 metecarpels ,and now has a big flat foot, which wont mend,+im only out of hospital ,after what turned out to be a pretty ugly opp, with a very bad infection to fallow ,a week later.Am just out of hozy again yesterday and am on a very strong antibiotic, and a daily call from the nurse to change dressings n stuff. Will sleep on Maddy tonight and get back to you.The only problem is finding a suitable stud,as there is only one over here.Which i might add,i would consider using,as the breeding is there, and at the minute,i couldnt travel anyway. ...Billy...

Catch a grip mate. This is racing blood at its best.Cause it dont come much better. ...Billy...

Thanks everyone for the nice comments...I would have liked to have bred her myself but just don't have the time and i know if i bred her i would want to keep a pup back for myself and not only do i not have the time but lack the room for three dogs...when your still at home with parents you've got to live by their rules and there is no way that i'm getting married to just to get another dog.. :teehee: . I know personally that i always wanted to use one of the top non ped stud dogs in England but as to which one i am not sure as there are quite a few to choose from, but i always fancied Hellbound. What about getting a stick of semen sent over...now that would be a first in the non ped whippet world...wonder much it would cost?...and by the way that's said with tongue in cheek. Billy, will give you a call to see how you are keeping...hope you are soon on the mend.

Was checking a couple of the print-outs i was given when i put Maddy round the track a few years back. From the boxes to the bend she was only 0.13 sec slower than the fastest time ever recorded around that particular track. For a comparison of this how many of the non ped whippets would be within two lengths of the track record at Wimbledon from the boxes to the bend? I am not putting these times on for a swelled head but to let people see that this is a top quality bitch with top quality breeding. Just take a look a Graham and Mandy Pendletons record round the bends with their own breeding, that alone speaks for itself.

Like I said Darren,a fantastic chance for someone to acquire top quality racing pups.I'd like to see pups out of Maddy and Danny(Hellbound)aswell, sounds like a perfect mating to me  P S Watched Danny run yesterday, and at the ripe old age of seven,he'd still give the best a run for there money. :D Karen

HAVENT YOU GOT ENOUGH YET KAREN (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) ;)

this is a man who critises a person for getting rid of one dog in 40 yrs to a better home??????????????????

(w00t) (w00t) (w00t)

Mark, i suggest you read my posts and you will see that i didn't criticise anyone. It seems to me that not only do you not know what you yourself have posted but that you don't read some other posts correctly. What sort or person searches through the forum to a subject that is 10-11 months old and posts the post that you have just posted?

I did say that i wouldn't respond to any of your posts but looks like i just took the bait and couldn't resist.
