Has Your Dog Ever Been Poisoned?

The problem is there is no way to establish if your dogs were poisoned deliberatly or accidently. They could have eaten rat that was baited, or something else when you take them for walk. They could have licked some herbicide or pesticide, if you take them to forest or field. There are many possibilities.

Anyway, hope they will recover completely. :luck:

Little Meg managed to poisen herself a few years back by eating a piece of pizza

that had been festering in the sun for a few days :x . She was very ill, it was touch and go for a few days. She made a full recovery though we have to watch her very carefully when we are out walking where people may have been picknicking, greedy little bugger :))

Our Meg nearly died last year through poisoning.........

she'd picked something nasty up on the beach....

was treat for rat poison-very lucky to be alive-almost dead in my arms..bleeding internally, terrible state-still hung onto her pups though

My parents used to have Alsations , and many years ago (before i was born !) one of my dads beloved dogs died through eating rat posion that the neighbours had put down he tells me. Cant remember what the poison was called , but i dont think you can just buy it over the counter these days. He said his poor dog died a horrible death :( :( :( :( :(

Hi I'm new on here joined this afternoon.

I too had my dog poisioned a few years back now but I still wonder? why? who ?what for?

And we will never know the answers.

My dog was 3 years old was doing quite well in the show world and we were very proud of her.

I was waiting for her to come into season so I could mate her and keep my breeding line going unfortunatley that was'nt to be.

It was done whilst we were at the show although I had no proof.

Dana was at the vets for 3 days whilst test etc were complete but there was no hope once it had been confirmed and we had to say our goodbyes.

Why people do this I will never know but that is the reason I never leave my dogs unattended in a car outside a shop at a show etc.

It has certainly made me keep my wits about me.

Especially when at dog shows perhaps I was naive in them days but I thought I was amongst dog lovers obviously not.

thats disgusting, im very sorry to what happened :(
