We went to the open at Worcester today and would like to congratulate the members of this club for the lovely condition of the track

It was set out brilliantly with plenty of room for the dogs to manouver themselves

into position, and the feel of the ground felt quite springy.

Amanda said that they had plenty of rain in the week, and hopefully there will be more rain in the next few weeks, but also they intend watering it to keep it nice and moist.

As usual the refreshments with the cakes in particular went down very well.

There were some good races and crongratulations to all the winners

Doreen

Totally agree Doreen track was in really good condition and if we have either more rain or its kept watered 'spot on'. A very enjoyable days racing. :)

looking foward the the champs week. Hope we stay injury free so we can enjoy it to the full. sounds great  :luck:

Worcesters annual open is on Sunday 5th August 2007.

In the past we have held a two day open but due to the rules now of Top Ten points Opens, clubs are only allowed one.

We have found that in the past it is a waste of club money to advertise/run a non points open, as the amount of dogs that attend is poor.

We have put a Regional Open with the club open to make a two day, but as we only joined Mid West Region last year, and the regional dates are usually at the Devon Festival, we did not forsee the closure of Devon club and the dates were already decided on for 2007.

As we have held a two day open for so many years now W News asumed it would be as usual and the dates have been used in the calender and not changed.

The advert has been submitted and should be in the next Whippet News out.
