Ooooops!!! and forgot to add you can run them at the flapping tracks....with all these benefits makes me wonder why anyone would want any other type of lurcher    :p   waiting for the backlash from all the collie lurcher enthusiasts :p
cause greyhound whippets arnt true lurchers, and really are only suitable for straight racing, never seen one yet do the longjump, simulated, hurdles and racing one after another and win most and compete against fresh blood in each one, thats why the collie x is nu 1 and they are more loyal  mark

Come on Mark 4 events one after the other and win (w00t) you're taking the p..s.Have yet to see a bloody daft owner who gives his dog on average 10 races plus the amount of jumps needed to win long jump, and expect it to win.Bearing in mind you say "one after another". :- " Start talking sensible,or everybody will think you only race against s..t dogs :D Karen

me talk sensible :D karen every one on these sites said last easter when the pups were 5 month old and won a saturday and sunday simulated coarsing with a 32 dog stake both days i was racing shit dogs,to this day i have never won in as strong line up as that weekend both days, anyway no bullshit i do and will do everything with the dogs one after another if thats how the organisers run it, its usually 3 things LJ,HURDLES,AND RACING, but they do it and its called stamina and in my book that is more inportant then speed, but they have to be fast as well

EXCUSE ME Mr M ORON BUT THIS TOPIC IS CALLED "IS ERNIE A WHIPPET?"

NOT FOR YOU TO REPEATEDLY GIVE US THE LOW DOWN ON WHAT YOU HAVE WON WITH 5 MONTH OLD DOGS, THATS DISGUSTING! RUNNING DOGS THAT HARD AT THIS AGE AND YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE RSPCA.

YOU SAY YOU WORK YOUR DOGS, WHO HELPS YOU OVER THE GATES WHEN YOUR OUT LAMPING :D NUMPTY DUMPTY. NOW KEEP ON TOPIC

And all those rabbits were caught immediately after simulated coursing, hurdles, long jump, high jump, straight racing, shot put and javelin

Baffles me why anybody would want to ban a non-ped whippet for racing against lurchers....

And didn't you have one that raced and did long jump and if my memory serves me correctly Geoff didn't Midge also take part in an obedience competition. So if anybody out there wants an all rounder get a whippet/greyhound.Midges dad did a cracking job behind a hare, with 100yd slip.Beat that Mark :- "

I'm fully aware that I race in the non-peds, and when I joined the BWRA/FED I didn't sign a contract stating that I should not run my dogs at lurcher racing.

If this rule came about then I would have to think very carefully before joining.

Right young man, let me put you straight, I was racing whippets before you were a twinkle in your dads eye, yes in the early sixties at Hillstown whippet club

And to say that we have only been back in the sport about 6 years we haven't done too bad as regards training CHAMPIONS.

RCH SUPREME NCH PEMS LAD :D

NCH NBCH JACK THE LAD (3 TIMES CONSECUTIVE ON THE STRAIGHTS) :D

SUPREME NCH AND SUPREME RCH PENNYSWORTH :D

SUPREME NCH SUGAR DADDY :D

And look at my signiture for ALL my dogs other achievments :- " ;)

ps and I have never raced my grews against greyhounds on the flapping tracks.
