On 14th June it is the greyhound club champ show and William is entered.

He has not been to a show since crufts last year and it is the first time I have even thought of showing him since his RTA last year. It is something we thought would never happen.

God know what he is going to do i have dug out his little choke chai I usually use a leather slip lead for him but think I will need something a bit stronger for the first tim. He went to ringcraft last week and was really silly bouncing everywere and been a general pain in the but :- " but it is going to be a day we thought we would never see. He is filthy as he's not had a bath since last year and still needs a bit more weight on so is unlikey to get placed but it will be good to get him back in the ring and probably a bit emotional too

Bout Blooming time too , big lazy lump!!!! (w00t)

do you need his support crew there??? im sure little blue would show him how NOT to show

The best of luck, I would love to go with my black girl, it is just too far for me. Enjoy your day out with William!

Awww Good luck William - you behave just how you want - you know you can't put a foot wrong :- " :D

Good Luck William :luck:

We are not going to this show as away on Hol,s :D

Well we'll be of in about 10 minutes Button is looking lovely and shiny William still has a yellow tinge to his coat but who cares he's not likely to do anything anyway.

I was given a tip by a friend with papilions(sp) at ringcraft the other day

Soak the yellow bits with white vinegar before you leave home

apparently when it dries he will be a lot cleaner than he was so now William stinks of vinegar so we'll see what happens :- " (w00t)

Well we've had a great day. We were showing outside it was nice but a bit chilly.

First Wiliam just missed out on qualifying for crufts he came 4th in post grad dog then it was Button's turn first in poat grad bitch 12 entries Button came 5th and even beat some show dogs. She did nothing in the racing and coursing bitch class after some strange judging. The steward went through the awards won by the seen dogs Button had beaten them all bar 1 who was unplaced in limit bitch. The judge gave 2nd to a bitch that had previously been beaten by Button in the post grad class.

Despite this we had a great day. Some people of a stall who had racing greyhounds gave me some stuff to give William to help put some weight on him.It is called DYNE and is a high calorie replacement supplement for dogs that are ill and not eating  Thanks very much to them hopefull we will see a diference in him soon

Well done, I am all for racing dogs being shown!!!!!!!! They have a lot to offer.

Well done William and Button - we were just down the road from you at Queniborough Qufts - not in your league I know but still good when you win! Tiny got third in Best Rescue  :) and then we gave in due to the heavy downpours and the fact that their idiot mummy (me!) walked right past their raincoats thinking "no we won't need those today!!" :(

Well done Tiny we had sunshine but had a cold wind and same here I didn't both picking up their coats either  although it was nice to be showing outside we did have a hall avaiable if we had needed it

Here's Tiny's impression of a gracious winner! (Okay I know third isn't winning but you try telling him that! He's made me get the rosette out every day to look at it - our "mirror of fame" is out of commission at the mo because we are having some decorating done - that and it's full! Any thoughts on what I can use next?
