Oh how awful :(

Very best wishes from us :huggles:

thanks everyone.....just got back from the hospital...has been long and scarey day but the prognosis is good, subject to confirmation from another specialist next wednesday it would appear that the blindness is due to fluid within the eye leaking behind the retina.

apparently it is caused by stress and will resolve itself but now that it has happened once it will happen again. so fingers crossed next week it will be confirmed and we can put it behind us. the doctors said it was easy to mistake the symptoms from the test with something pressing on the optic nerve which is why our gp was so concerned and how we managed to get an appointment with a specialist within 24hrs of seeing our gp.

so well done the NHS they were fab.

and thank you again for the good wishes, we have had quite a shocking few days.
