I was very proud of these two daughters of my own Ch. Diablesse Surrey Hill Say Yaha and the Australian import Am.Aust.Ch. Byerley Savile Row... Best of Winners and Reserve Bitch at the American Whippet Club Supported Entry earlier this month. We had a lot of people in the photo to get owners and co-breeders in.

The fawn brindle and white is Surrey Hill's Petaluma....also titled in lure coursing, obedience, and agility. The red brindle with white trim is Surrey Hill's Bindaree, major-pointed in AKC lure coursing. Bindaree just needs one more minor point win to be a champion, and "Caper" (Petaluma) started her serious show career in May and is over halfway there, so both girls are doing very well. Their owners are Lisa Buzzell for Bindi (Deep Woods) and Lisa Duffy (Capa) and Laura Kieffer (Pixel) for Caper respectively. I enjoyed showing Bindi that weekend to several good high placements.

Actually, we've had a good laugh over here because he looks to us like Dave Thomas, Founder of Wendy's Hamburgers and star of most of their commercials until he passed away. Anyhow, he was a very nice man, and of course we think he is a BRILLIANT judge  to find two littersisters out of a large entry, shown by handlers he had never seen before.

He is an ex-professional handler, but one who showed a lot of Whippets back in the 70's and 80's, and he said he loves the breed.

I love my Sav kids, too. They have wonderful temperaments and are a lot of fun to compete with. We finished the two boys, but the girls were a little slower to come on and they also have it much tougher (here, as most places, you have to fight your way past more quality bitches than males to get to the points), but Caper really has just started to be shown as her owner needed to find the right handler for her and everyone in her area was either too expensive or was booked already showing other bitches. So, this has worked out very well for her. Caper loves Laura and Laura is excited about finishing Caper. They have continued to win points since this show and I hope we will be announcing two half-Australian CHAMPIONS in the next few months. Thanks for the kind words!

He had another made up this weekend here, too. Not one mine, but one of Iva's--New CH. Merci Isle Hearthstone from the first litter he sired over here.

Yay for Suede!

Congrats on your new champion.
