firstly i would like to congratulate all of todays winners well done.

after getting up at 5 and a cost of 65 in fuel we travelled with our 3 not fast but honest dogs to todays open.

in race 1 my dog was interferred with and i expected a rerun. i was surprised when the result was announced. i mentioned it to the line judges and was rightly told to see the race manager.

there was no midway judge and the race manager said he would look into it. still waiting to see what was going to happen with my race we asked again.

we were told that we the reported the race to late.

i couldnt have questioned it any quicker. i had asked straight away.

the interference was observed by many people.

because of the cost of fuel we carefully pick the opens we attend. we were looking forward to this meeting. the track was good, the weather was great and so was the company.

coming from a small club i fully understand all the work involved in holding an open and the lack of readily available pairs of hands but please could all clubs ensure that all positions are covered.

we came with no expectations all we hoped for was a fun, inury free fair days racing and i am afraid i left disappointed.

I am sorry that you feel aggrieved by the decision yesterday. The racing manager consulted all the officials who were present when your race took place and were of the opinion that nothing happened during that race which warranted a "re run".

You obviously are disappointed and in disagreement with the outcome but unfortunately incidents like this happen to all of us at some point in our racing lives. I hope you feel better about it this morning.

hi

that was my point exactly.

the fact that their wasnt a midway official for my race so noone could have been consulted.

the reason given to why the race was not rerun was that i had questioned it to late i was unable to question the result any earlier unless i had interrupted the next race.

however the day is gone and life is too short to dwell on such things.

Excellent philosophy to have!
