oh one of my favorite birds :thumbsup: we sometimes see them on the canal if where lucky.

must be nice to have one visit the garden :)
 
You lucky thing having a visitor like that to your garden; but then you have a beautiful garden too ! :D 8) :teehee:
 
That's fantastic! :thumbsup: I hardly ever see a kingfisher when I'm out - they move so fast - you are so lucky having it come and sit in the open in your garden like that. :)
 
Thanks, they are beautiful birds aren't they? We occasionally get 2 sitting there, usually a fluffy juvenile with parent. I think they bring them here when they're learning to catch fish. They make an awful mess though :b

Saw our first Little Egret nearby a couple of days ago :wub: I suspect it won't be long before they are helping themselves to the goldfish too.

A stunning photo - you are so lucky to have them visit your garden. :wub: :wub: We occasionally catch glimpses of them flying on the canals, but have rarely managed to photograph any, although I did this year, and it really made my day. :thumbsup:
 
Wow thats amazing!

What a beautiful bird, I have only ever seen one twice, they move so quick I always miss them when someone tries to point one out.
