I know Carole's(Sherrys)dog used to wear blinkers 8) ,but I'm not sure if she still does.

yes millu u r right kez aka crackin whizz does still wear blinkers, they r 2 plastic pieces attached to her muzzle someone gave us them but they werent quite high enuf so a cornflake box was cut up and added making them very colorful lol. the reason she wears them is ... so i can easily indentify her on a photo  nah just kidding when she was a pup she was very playful and didnt concentrate on the racing we tried them they worked and she still uses them although she didnt on the bends last year as theres more to concentrate on on bends. i know jackie and vicky have some pics of her in them so hopefully one of them will post a pic.

well rose we just going to put the cornflake box on eli"s head and tape it up hes as daft as a brush by the time hes any good he will be a vet, naughty eli (w00t) :p

I used to race one of mine in blinkers, she was a pain and would keep turning to look who was coming up beside her, the blinkers stopped that and she concentrated on the lure! Mine I made from leather, I took the pattern from an old pair some body had.

washing up bottles are good to cut down too

OSCARSPRIDE ALSO HAD THEM AS A PUP (w00t) , GOOD LAD NOW :D , THEY DO THE TRICK, IF NOT PUT OSCAR IN WITH IT WITH OUT HIS MUZZLE ON

KEEP THEM FOCUSED ON THE LURE,NOT WHATS AROUND,SOME PEOPLE EVEN PUT COTTON WOOL IN TO STOP THE DOG HEARING THE SURROUNDING DOGS.

KENNYS METHOD OK JUST MAKE SURE ITS EMPTY,DONT WANT THEM MISSING THERE WEIGHT :x

O.URS DO THAT GET INTO RECYCLING WALKING ROUND YARD WITH A PACKET ON ON THERE NUT L,O,L.

One of mine had to have blinkers too, she was naughty as a pup in that she would slow down, wait for the other dogs and bark at them as they went past hahaah weetabix box cut down did the trick...... she was out of them at a year old and ran as straight as anything after that ..... so yes they do work :teehee:

thats eve  , she was the same used to look at other dogs and the blinkers help keep her focused, she's never needed them on the bends. ours are made out of an ice cream tub, as shes got older we have cut them back, they were quite big when she was younger
