Janet, I do hope he's already safely with you. I lost a friend's whippet from my house a few years ago, and she was missing for 11 days. We got her back safely, but one tip - which I'm sure you've already thought of - take another whippet that he knows with you. When my friend's bitch was finally found she wouldn't approach anybody, not even her owner. The owner let one of her older whippets off, walked a bit back and lay down. The bitch went to the dog and when he returned to the owner, she followed.

Super News!!! Tracy rang me earlier to let me know that he was back and I could hear the relief in her voice....he was resting in front of the fire as we spoke,and as far as she could see he was'nt any the worse for wear apart from being dreadfully thin and having a few little nicks and scuffs on his legs...oh and a bit whiffy too!! But I am sure he is soooooo happy to be back home where he belongs. :huggles: :cheers: :thumbsup:
