Pup Returning To Us Tomorrow

One of Kiah's pup will be returned to us tomorrow - the little blue fawn girl with white trim.

The new owners are saying they "want their old life back" after 3 weeks with her and want to bring her back tomorrow which we are agreeing to them doing. Sounds like the lady of the house is the one who cant take the lifestyle change - they have never had kids or pets. Its no fault of the pup - she has been really good from what they have said :rant:

Very unfortunate as she is a beautiful pup, very loving and has lovely markings too.

I will post a latest pic of her on here over the weekend but until here is her pic taken at 7.5 weeks (now 11 weeks) before the litter started to leave the nest - she is bottom left laying down:

Very annoying for us to say the least but hopefully she will find a forever home that really wants her soon - she deserves it.

Aw poor little girl :( , how confusing for her :( , but hopefully you'll find the perfect home for her quickly :D , she has beautiful markings :wub: ...I'm just moving Bluebell up on the sofa to make room...in my dreams :lol:
 
Really sorry to hear this, I do hope you find the perfect home for her soon. She is a lovely looking little girl.

It makes me realise how lucky we were that all our pups found such wonderful homes.

Yes she is arguably got the best markings in the litter - 4 white feet, white blaze, white chest and white tip on tail. She was our original pick of the litter to keep but we eventually choose our Lucy as we thought she had slightly better show potential which is what we want to get involved in.

Never mind - we are glad to get her back anyway before to much damage has been done and I am sure a great home wont be to long in coming along.
 
It's such a shame she's coming back :( but you weren't

to know that woman wasn't prepared to give her a proper

chance.

 

Im sure you will find a lovely home for her quickly, she is

a beautiful girl, i thought that when i saw her at yours. And

if she's anything like my Zana, her sister anyone would be

glad to have her. I wouldn't swop my Zan for a gold pig,

she's such a poppet :wub:
 
What a beautiful girlie.... how terribly upsetting for you and her.

I hope she finds a loving home very soon.
 
Thats not good but at least they got in touch straight away and im sure she will find her new owners very soon. She is lovely a credit to you :luck:
 
i look at that pic you posted and i dont think ive ever seen a litter that all look so alike, colour/markings (w00t)

im sure a great home will soon come along for her, i think the worry will be to make sure the next family that come along are not just buying her as a christmas present :unsure:

my friends had this same worry last year with the one that was left in their litter :unsure:

they said they wouldnt advertise her for that reason (xmas present) but by word of mouth a 1st class home came along :thumbsup:

look forward to seeing updated pics of her :wub:
 
Good for you Dave that the new owner felt they could come back to you. I am sure such a lovely little girl will soon find a lovely home

What a shame for the little pup. :( Still, better she is returned now at a young age, than later when she is older. Hope she finds a loving forever home. I would so love her as she is related to my Remmy, but sadly I have an OH who has to be obeyed!! :(

My neighbours recently returned their 10 month old EBT X JR to the breeder as it chewed a cushion on their new sofa and the wife went mad. It was a lovely friendly dog but the poor thing never got walked or socialised, and was always getting out. :rant: I'm sure it would have been run over given time. I do hope it has a better life now. :luck: Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have a dog.
 
Aww that's such a shame - it's tempting to be angry at them for being so short sighted but at least they did the right thing. Mine are 11 weeks now and I just couldn't give them up. Mine have chewed my new hat, the expensive wallpaper I've just put up, absolutely anything that's left on the floor but you know what - when you have pups it's what you take on, isn't it? Our Christmas tree has a kids fireguard round it which is not the classiest look on the block... I'm very lucky that I homeschool one of my sons so am in all day but it does mean sacrifices eg taking it in turns to pop out/ upstairs etc so that they aren't left on their own where they can get up to mischief. All the family pitches in and I'd hate to go back to my boring pre-dog life!

I really hope she finds a home that deserves her soon. I've been trying to persuade my Mum and Dad to have the last pup out of my boys' litter but I might just send them a photo of your girl instead :- " :luck:
 
What a shame.. :( another pup returning.

but suppose they are doing it early enough. My sister and brother in law are having two of their siberian husky pups returned as the couple cant cope with them.

I just wish people would research more before getting any animal.. :blink:

you can forgive some circumstances of rehoming...but I personally think...not enough thought goes in to the needs of a puppy....they are just like having a new born baby in the house.....and need lots of time, love and patience...not forgetting money too. :blink:

oops meant to add Hope she finds a loving secure home soon...Im sure she will..shes gorgeous... :wub:

so sorry to hear this honestly some people realy do need to do their homework when thinking about taking a puppy on :angry:

but at least you have her back i hope her forever home comes up real soon :luck:

well said esty, pups are a lot of hard work and take heaps of paitance but they are well worth the effort. if the chew stuff that u leave on the floor u soon learn to pick it up. my jtr had a fettish for loo rolls, she would drag one down stairs and proceed to dig her way through to the cardboard roll! everytime u came home it looked like it had snowed in the livingroom. she even dug straight through the sofa one day, i came home and she was nestled in it like a chipmonk but what do u do they r puppys and it dont last forever.

dave i hope she finds a good home soon love, but with a face like that i dont think she will have any problems
 
Sometimes things happen for the best :thumbsup: ....... seems as though that wasn't the right home for your little girl :(

Got to say though that I cannot imagine keeping a pup for the first 3 weeks (always the busiest time) and then giving her up (w00t) . I couldn't sleep at night without mine beside me now - even though there isn't much room in the bed anymore :lol: :lol:

I hope the right home comes along for your little girl, although it is rather close to Christmas right now :unsure: and so many people don't have the time over the holiday season :(

I was smitten with Poppy after 3 minutes, couldn't imagine being without her now.

Its such a shame but at least they could come back to you.

I don't think anything can prepare you for how mad a puppy is and how hard it can be but its also so much fun, prefer this life to dogless life!! (w00t)
 
At least the right thing has happened here - the owners have admitted to themselves that they weren't right for the pup, and the pup has ended up with you, and you can find her a really good home now. It would have been awful if they had felt too embarrassed to bring her back, and had sold her on to who knows where. :(

Unfortunately some new owners suffer from what is almost equivalent to 'post natal depression' when they get a pup. I've suffered it myself a couple of times (don't laugh :b ). I suffered it with Fred and Stan, even though I was prepared for it with Stan. I'd feel sick with anxiety, and wish I could go back to the way I'd been before the pup arrived. I'd wake up in the early hours feeling awful, I'd be filled with this awful depression. You feel that you're just not going to bond with this new arrival, your comfortable routine has been turned upside down, and you mechanically go through the motions but feel awful inside, and then a week or two later, something clicks and you realise everything is going to be OK, and the anxiety disappears. You suddenly feel relieved, and start to emotionally bond with the pup. If you haven't experienced it, it's rather hard to describe and help others overcome it. I guess some owners don't realise this feeling will pass eventually.

At least they've done the decent thing and they called you and arranged for the puppy to be returned to you. Good luck with finding a permanent home 2nd time around.

Actually the husband works for the same company as David which is how they came to hear about our puppies, therefore would have been difficult for us not to know if they had passed her on elsewhere. As far as we were aware, they had been given the idea of having a whippet some thought before our litter was born. It is the lady of the house that wants to return, he wants to keep her apparently (very much). Anyway she is coming back this afternoon, bless her. Hopefully a good home can be found, she's a sweety.
