Every year the members of one of Richard's churches go on a 5 mile hike into the hills. This year was the first time we were able to go so even though the forecast wasn't good, we took Muffin & Jonah and set off.

It started to drizzle as we started off but wasn't enough to stop us going.

looks like you had a lovely walk gillian despite the rain :)

Nice place to walk  Shame about the rain :(

Lovely pics Gillian

Looks a good walk, and once you're out in the rain it doesn't matter, we did a similar walk on Maundy Thursday, in the rain, around our Churches....but I didn't take my camera. :)

We arrived at our destination - a ruined farm called North Britain - where we waited for some of the stragglers, before having a short service. By now the weather was really closing in... :(

Muffin and Jonah were not impressed - poor Jonah was really cold as we hadn't taken his warm coat.

Then it was up a bit further, over the top and back down the other side. No more pics as it was raining so hard that I had to put the camera away. We were really pleased to get home into the warm and dry.

Lovely Photos

Happy Easter to you and Richard, Gillian

The weather really did close in on you didn't it! :( What a shame. It reminds me of when we did a group K9 walk around the reservoirs there...it rained solidly then too. I'd never been so glad to get home to a warm bath and dry clothes. I bet you felt pleased you made the effort though. How did your early Easter Sunday walk go?

It's so similar to Dartmoor!!!!

One minute the weather is quite reasonable and the next ......... awful

Lovely scenery, albeit a little wet :D

oh what a shame the weather turned bad, lovely photos gillian

 Rafferty still hasn't forgiven me for that day, it was very very wet wasn't it.

Nice pics despite the weather tho Gillian.

We spent Easter in my campervan in Lincolnshire....that was wet & cold most of the time too. Rafferty had his lovely warm fleecy coat on this time tho so he was a happy boy, not that he came out of the van very much :-
